Hello,

I have a few questions like in a older thread i was ask to find a good tuto.
This helps me a lot but on this fase i was stuck;
It give me an error code 2160-0202. unable to connect.
Is it normal?
Here is the guide i use for this.
https://switch.homebrew.guide/hacking/nereba/pegascape
Internet connection works fine on the switch.

Now after that i skip this guide and was possible to use the hekate wich let me allow to go to the homebrew store and can install some stuff.
But is it safe to do it like that and how i can upgrade without the risk of a ban?
Also how i can use choix du jour and tinfoil on my switch?
Yesterday i could download and try one game like pinball but the sonic game did not working due to a kind of error.

p.s. Im still on 2.30 and want to upgrade without troubles

If someone could give me a solution it would be great.

Thanks!

Really? I only did once go to the HB store after i disconnect the wifi and even have an account because is the first time i use the console.

This means i can't do anything more to upgrade or use the CFW?

Thanks for the quick reply but what about my other questions?

Guess this will be possible to give it a try?
I tried to find so much information on sites and you tube but did'nt find anything on fw 2.30

But why are you using nereba? You have an unpatched switch which can use fusee gelee. Update the firmware either through system settings or choidojournx

Because i did follow a step by step guide that i received and i'm not an expert in the swich scene.
Scared to brick it and can't use all the possible function anymore.

Reading is the key. You are using pegascape dns and this is why nintendo services (including system update) is blocked. It is even written as a big warning on the page you linked on!

Use https://switch.homebrew.guide/ and study that site to get answers to your questions. If you want to preserve online-features for your switch (in case you want to unhack sell it etc.) never connect to nintendo services with it. You will get a ban sooner or later if you ignore this.

To update the system either use a game card, or take the risk and update without custom dns settings or get the update files somewhere to install them with choidojournx.

Make a NAND backup, like... NOW!!!!
Make EmuMMC.
Activate RCM and you are golden.
Keep your SysNAND in 2.3.
Use EmuMMC offline and be a sexy pervert.

Thanks a lot and how can i update with choix du jour? I mean where can i find some tuto for it?

This is the guide i did follow and i'm now stuck to it.
Really not easy to find a easy way for a fw2.30.
The link i received before is for fw 1.00 like i read it.
And if i am right i need to use cafeine right?
You don't think is better to upgrade to the latest version?

Really sorry to ask all of this but is so hard to make full access to the console.
Am i little confused about it.

Is emuMMC detectable by nintendo? I'm so interested to use this, but i don't want a ban on my console.

Theoretically yes. It is as easy as testing read/write iops of the mounted system partition. Is nintendo using checks to detect that? Currently no or not known to initiate a ban.
I would advice to use the nand for OFW and emunand for CFW. Personally I have my untouched nand backup and I don't use emunand and have my certificate deleted from the system.

Excuse me if that sounded a little bit harsh. But, the forum has a search function

Yes, and my reaction was not correct. Sorry about that. But I don't find after a few hours of search before the answer. Will continue to search after my work when have free time. Greetings.
