The opening thread posts are reserved for Sword and Shield v1.1.0 codes. I will try to keep these opening posts up-to-date as more UNIQUE Cheats become known to the public. (I will try my best to re-test as many codes shared with the public as possible to help ensure the codes here are legit!)

(While I understand the concept of Code Hunting (did so in the 90's for Pokemon Red & Blue.) The games are way more complex & personally I do not have the time to hunt for new codes.)

"Missing" Codes
Code hunters have not re-hunted all the codes originally in v1.0.0 for v1.1.0! Hopefully they will be but there's no guarantee that a code previously hunted for an older version of the game will be re-hunted for the newer versions (this WILL be true for all future versions of the game.)

There's no dedicated Code Hunters for Pokémon. So, this thread may stop being able to provide new codes at any moment.

Let's stay on topic!
The following thread is ONLY for discussion and testing of Cheat Codes for using in CFW/EMU.

Please take any of the following topics to more appropriate threads on this forum site:
  • CFW Installation Tutorial/Help
  • CFW Troubleshooting
  • PKHeX (anything)
  • Code Hunting Tutorial/Help
There are plenty of other threads where this is already being discussed in detail.

Future Versions Are Coming
Please keep in mind that due to the release of Pokémon Home and the coming expansions - Sword and Shield will likely see more updates this year. It is VERY common for codes for one version of a Switch game NOT to work for other versions. (When the next version is out, a new thread will be started once there are new codes to help ensure people can QUICKLY get to these codes!)

At the request of those in this thread, a new thread was started for v1.1.0:

ENJOY!

The following codes from above list are tested and working fine to me:

Pokémon Shield v1.1.0

[Quick Egg Hatch]
04000000 00D98684 52801FF8
04000000 00D986AC 52801FF8

[Wild Pokemon Star Shiny]

04000000 0076FDA4 14000036
04000000 00780684 52000C29

I would like to enable again the following codes that were working on v1.0.0 if it's possible in a future:

[Wild Pokemon Always Male]
[Wild Pokemon Always Female]
[Wild Pokemon Always Have Hidden Ability]
[Wild Pokemon Always Have Standard 1st Ability]

Thank you!

@LuciferMorningstar and @twiti... I removed the untested status on those codes!

I would like... again the following codes... v1.0.0

I placed a request in the REQUESTS thread for some codes to be converted (well in all actually) reproduced for v1.1.0. I asked for the "Instakill" as it works in Raids for an instant in SOLO Raids (as long as you are bringing a Lv. 100 mon and/or faster than the Raid mon.) I also asked for Nature & Gender mods however I was more focused on Female. In terms of the Gendered codes, they create illegal Pokemon if used on an incompatible mon so the Genderless mod is pointless. The majority of species with rare gender rates are females being rare on top of that - the gender specific only evolutions in the game are female required. (That's my two cents. Besides, once you have one code you have all the codes - you just need to adjust the value to match the v1.0.0 for the modifier portion of the code.)

eggs in pc made prior to codes will not hatch shiny or with max ivs
I don't understand why this needs to be stated or isn't 100% obvious to people. It's like a Kinder Egg. Once someone passes you the Kinder Egg... the toy is predetermined!

confirmed once codes are enabled they cannot be disabled. unless you close application
This must be a limitation of SXOS, Luc. I already confirmed a month ago in EdiZon for Atmosphere. Once you disable a code, it's immediate off as soon as you cause the memory to refresh in-game. (This is achieved by flying to a different location or enter a building! (If you do not take this step, it will not clear - if SXOS doesn't clear - than that's a fault with that OS!)

sorry I am unfamiliar with the term kinder egg and yes you could be right sxos may not be perfect but it worked just fine on version 1.0 so I think it may just be a bug atm I also tested star shiny and that code works. I don't understand what square shiny meant so I left that one alone. are you writing your own code? and if so is there anyway you can teach me a trick or 2

Good job alice. thank you for posting codes nearly within 24 hours of version 1.1 update. I really appreciate your time

Square shiny means the shiny Pokemon will have square sparkle animations instead of the regular star ones. Google Ultra shiny pokemon

Kinder Surprise, also known as Kinder Egg or Ovetto Kinder or Kinder Surprise Egg. The basic idea is a chocolate coated treat. Instead, there's a plastic container containing a random toy. It's no different than any other egg. Once the egg is laid, it's not changing. The contents were already pre-determined. Same goes with eggs from real world chickens and same goes for Pokemon.

Sorry, no, I am unable to hunt for new codes. (I understand the concept. I did so in the 90's with the GameBoy... for Pokemon Red and Blue. However, I do not have the time to hunt for codes.)

Are there also OFF codes for the main memory ASM cheats that don’t reset to normal without closing and relaunching the game?

Since this is not an issue with Atmosphere and EdiZon, I have not been attempting to collect/ask for any (see opening thread.)

Furthermore, I HIGHLY doubt that SXOS's cheat program does not provide a live toggle for codes like EdiZon for Atmosphere.

1 hit k0 and 50,000xp modifier would be nice

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

1 hit ko, and max level after defeating a wild pokemon would help

such and such... would be nice

Unless someone joins this thread stating they are a Code Hunter and taking requests for v1.1.0 of Pokemon Sword & Shield, please stop posting requests here! There is an official thread for requesting codes for all games: https://gbatemp.net/threads/cheat-codes-ams-and-sx-os-add-and-request.520293/ (I have already posted several requests for similar codes that once existed.)

(There is currently NO ONE HERE who hunts codes. :()

Just got pokemon sword and wondering if I want to use cheats in the game (my switch is already set up to allow cheats to be used) I have to launch the game 1st then activate a code or 2 with edizon then return to the game yes? If so it isnt different from botw in some case as that's how it functions with that game

If anyone wants to test the "Always Best IVs" for Raids, let me know. The way the game works with Dens - it makes illegal Pokemon so I will not bother wasting my time testing those codes.

It's exactly that!

She removed the v1.0.0's "Hold R" condition and now it doesn't work on v1.1.0.

#facepalm!

The new version 1.1.0 has changed portions of the games (Sword & Shield) and as a result there are shifts in the memory usage. THIS IS WHY v1.0.0 codes don't work on v1.1.0 - not because people turned a code from "Hold a Button" to Always On. (If you cannot tell the difference between the Hold Button lines of code and the actual code portion, you likely should not guess and why things look different to you.)

The example you cited was the what is commonly known as "Instakill" for v1.0.0 does not work in v1.1.0 BECAUSE the space in memory where CURRENT HP OF POKEMON IN BATTLE is no longer the same. Ironically, in v1.1.0 that exact space in memory is MAXIMUM HP OF POKEMON IN BATTLE. As a result, the code creates a battle environment where no Pokemon can win in Raids (I can only assume it's gltich city for the other battle situations.)

Ah, so incomplete then. No worries, I can grab the original values with a memory editor to complete these.

If you actually know your way around the tools, then you should be able to easily find the shifted memory location for everyone to provide an updated code. Let us know when you have it!

If you read the comments you would know that most 1.0.0 codes do not work and need to be converted to work with 1.1.0
Everyone on this site is waiting for more codes to be supported. Thats why its always best to never update the game instantly.

Heads-up for people:

MAKE A BACKUP PRIOR TO USING CHEATS!

I have a saved that wasted about 10 hours after I found Gmax locations.....which means, pkhex transferring my save (specifically taking my mon from myself to an older save to a previous save before the freeze, and it may not work (as in, the mon may have an "issue" if I trade/battle yada-yada)).
------
the game yes?
Pretty much, yes.

Run your game, open Edizon, select cheats, press home, resume game.

I think that's what you want to know.

------------
@Th3Alic3
ENCOUNTER CODES ARE NOW UP for all non-Galar Dex Pokemon!
Don't forget to credit people.
----

She didn't even thank the people who tested the codes for her. That's just wrong.

Hello! Thanks for your reply, but I did know that the codes would not work. I posted the old code because it was meant for anyone who would like to try tracing the new pointers in the update.
Thank you.
