MaxConsole Posts photos of the new TX Switch modchip

Someone spilled the beans earlier today, and took photos of their Switch console with the new TX Switch Modchip installed!

Pictures they say are worth more than 1000 words, and in this case earlier today MaxConsole posted 3 of them, showcasing what appears to be the new TX Switch ModChip installed on console. :)
From what he agreed to tell us, they are still improving the product on both Mariko and Patched Switch so first shipment will only be after Chinese New Year. Unfortunately a good month away (or more). For information, he added the product also work on unpatched console, so basically all classic models function with this product. Still the product is coming, getting closer, and a separate product for Switch Lite is also underway. I guess we will have to be a bit more patient for more info.

The pictures are only showing part of the installation because he was concerned to be identified by board numbers or such. But he promised he will send us more info in the weeks to come. So probably the next 4 weeks until CNY is over and that we can hopefully also receive our own final review samples!

tx discord admins ... if not true, thumbs up
It was shown to boot the SX boot loader in the video and that has the option to load external payloads so unless they plan on removing that feature from the SX loader Atmosphere should boot fine.

My gf got me a second 400 gb micro SD card for my birthday. When this releases and that dragon trinket thing releases (with the three sd card slots), I'm gonna have a hay day

Nice, was sad that my classic Switch with cfw went flying from my window because of my angry nephew...time to get a new switch.

Best guess...

RCM is activated (by intercepting eMMC) - Pull your emmc, that activates RCM...

Then, it looks like they are allowing boot0/1/PRODINFO/TSEC/FALCON to do its stuff, as a stock console would, and patching stuff on the fly.

Doing it like this will be solderless. Completely solderless. RCM(via disconnecting / dropping CLK lines), +3v and GND are ofcourse all accessible from the BTB.

No idea why they didn`t go to the D+ and D- USB testpoints though (assuming it is to update payload). That micro-USB is probably unnecessary, but just to allow for "solderless" installations.

I hope the price is raised to include a sxos license, and opens up to any other CFW. That way their audience increases and still sell their licenses, max profit amIrite?

Let's hope it gets reverse engineered and the method is exposed.
you'll have to give someone money for the hardware...
just like with the dongles, you could use go the easy way and use tx's cool dongle, need to wait a few months for the 3rd party ones, or, need to use your phone/pc each time.
if you want to hack your patched switch ASAP... get this modchip.
if you don't mind waiting a while for the possibility of this getting reverse engineered and reproduced and still having to pay for the product... ok wait. remember how long it took to get piracy without tx :)

Why reverse engineer when you can boot other payloads from sx os menu?

Wonder who tx stole this from
/s
You tell us, who else has a working exploit for the new systems?
