Hacking Question Updated Smash, Requires 7.0

I downloaded the most recent update of smash onto my console (in order to play Piranha Plant), but I realized after that my switch needs to be 7.0 to open it. What are my options from here? Can I downgrade it to an earlier version that supports v6.2? Or do I have to make an emunand partition? Thanks.

Update 2.0.0 for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate should only require 6.2.0.

The 2.0 Smash Bros. update requires 6.2.0, but the eShop requires 7.0.0. If you don't want to update your Switch to 7.0.0, you can install the 2.0 update using your favorite NSP installer.

If I install a NSP, I'll be banned for sure when I'll go online next Time... I only use xci offline and play online on ofw with legit games since SX day one with no problem and I don't want to get banned now...

Emunand is your best bet but not for xci online playing

If you don't want to risk being banned, then you should either:

a.) Wait for CFW to support 7.0.0.
b.) Use emuNAND​

Or c.) Create a custom xci that contain the update and the dlc

I'm on 5.1.0 using SX pro and SX OS 2.5.2
Dont want to setup emunand or auto rcm - would rather just use dongle as and when.

Is there any way I can get SSBU updated with petey piranha to run?
I understand if I update with choi that it sets to auto rcm - could I 'source' a suitable update as nsp and get the above running?

You can untick the auto rcm option in ChoiDujourNX if you are that hellbent on not using it and yes, you then can just install the DLC/update as NSP.
