Current version of Atmosphere: 16.0.3

  • I have had a CFW switch since 2018 with the old school RCM jig to support (not sure if its needed but its the only way i know how to boot into Hekate without Tegra)

  • a few years ago my SD became extremely slow, (many threads on here pointed that the SD is basically dead) that combined with the constant fixing that’s needed after every Atmosphere / Hekate update

  • Last week (August 2025) I bought a new SD (sandisk 512gb)
  • I copied all the contents from the old SD onto my mac and transferred them back to the new SD

  • the new SD works/ loads much faster …. However any game I open gives the error issue 'it cannot the software.'

  • Following online advice today (august 23rd) i have just used the 'HATS' pack from Stethix, this has not fixed anything and my switch still states it cannot open the software, (no error code, no corrupt data message, no nca Error) simply it cannot open the software.

Is there something im missing or do i need to factory reset the switch and set up CFW like the first time I ever did it?
I feel so much has changed since 2018 when i first did this, so i feel overwhelmed tbh.

Thanks in advance

That sounds like sigpatches missing or in the wrong location.
If you used a Mac to copy the files, try the option in Hekate to fix the archive bit.

Hey, where should the sigpatches be stored?

I downloaded and placed the newest sigpatches from the the thread on this forum.

Contains two folders, Atmosphere and boot loader.

I copied the sub folders in these folders to the same folders on the sd card and yet nothing is working still .

sd:/atmosphere/kip_patches
sd:/atmosphere/exefs_patches
clean install, delete everything, keep only your Nintendo folder, here is everything you need

gbatemp.net/threads/sigpatches-for-atmosphere-hekate-fss0-fusee-package3.571543/page-283#post-10705165

or delete the above folders and do it again
