Hey all,

Back again with another nooby question.
My RCM switch thingy landed today along with my micro sd card.
I've been following a tutorial on youtube and another one on bitchute who seems pretty verified and it seems relatively easy.

One question i am unsure of, once a CFW is installed along with patches and updates etc does it load up the CFW automatically every time i boot the switch up or do i need to manually launch it or do i need to put the RCM switch everytime?
If you power off your Switch completely, then you have to put your Switch into RCM to load CFW again. It is recommended that you leave your Switch docked and in sleep mode when you're not using it so it stays in CFW.

I am using latest sxos (2.9.3beta) with FW9.1 on emunand.

1) Mouting .xci just works fine, but I can't mount splitted .xci (.xc0/.xc1/...). I am splitting the files because of fat32 sdcard, read about possibble corruption of exfat sdcards. Installing the same splitted .xci just works fine. Can't find any information if mounting splitted .xci should work in general or not. So am I doing something wrong or do I want a feature that's not there :) ? Splitting the files with nsc_builder when merging base .xci with updates/dlc.

2) Haven't tried it yet, but i guess when I use an external HDD, it must also be fat32 formatted and the behaviour of mouting/installing will be the same?

Thanks again for your help. So basically don't turn it off or let the battery drain lol.
Seems the days are gone of installing a cfw and it overrides the stock boot up (PS3 and Wii)

I'll just have to remember ha

What are the risks of hacking right now? My switch isnt patched and its on 9.0.0

i heard you can get banned for going online but i wouldnt mind staying offline since i never play online. so aside from that, are there any other big risks at the moment? im just scared of something going wrong

thank you

Hacking your Switch is relatively safe, and you are unlikely to be banned if you install 90DNS and/or Incognito.

Which program I have to use to delete the partition? If I delete the partition of the OFW all the files in the other one willl be safe?
Use the same tool you used to partition the SD card in the first place.

Actually via a payload software. What I was asking is an homebrew application that let me modify the sd partitions. Cause I don't want to use the jig again
I've never heard of such a payload or homebrew application. Although if you want to avoid using a jig, you can always enable AutoRCM.

No, you need CFW to be able to use homebrew on the Switch.

i read some where that the nintendo switch lite can be hacked is that true or is it lies?
There is currently no way to hack the Switch Lite.

If you don't have an emuNAND, then you just have to copy the files from one SD card to the other in order to switch SD cards.

Formatting your SD card as FAT32 is recommended, so make sure you do that before transferring any files to the new SD card.

Hello guys,

i have been using hekate to load atmosphere together with tinfoil to install NSP-Games on my FW 6.2 switch. I made an update hekate to the latest version and atmosphere to v 1.0 today. Now im planing to update the switch FW but im not sure if i can use the official online update or if i should use ChoiDujourNX.

I have installed the Games on SD-Card, but even if i boot my switch without SD-Card/CFW the shortcuts to the games are still there, i just cant start them until i boot to CFW again. Will the official online update brick my switch, or will i just get banned from online play (i dont care because i am not planing to play online). I also dont care about burned fuses since i dont plan to revert back to a lower FW again.

Any recommendations which FW is the best if i want to play all games?

Thanks in advance!

PS: i have an old unpatched switch

Since you have game backups installed, it is highly recommended that you not connect to the internet with your Switch unless you are using 90DNS and/or Incognito. Otherwise, you will likely be banned from Nintendo's online services. For this reason, it is recommended that you update to 9.1.0 using ChoiDujourNX.

Before you update to 9.1.0 using ChoiDujourNX, it is recommended that you make sure you are using Atmosphere v0.10.1 and the latest fusee-primary, as well as the latest signature patches from this page.

Ok I have two switches and I would like to mod one but one is my main one that I have my nintendo accout on. It says that it is unpatched but it has the latest firmware running.

My other switch says that its patched and is running firmware 8.1 What should I do here? Should I patch my main console and transfer my data over to the patched switch? Can I mod the unpatched switch running the lates firmware? Any hlpe would be appreciated. Thanks

An unpatched console refers to the hardware being unpatched because the exploit used is reliant on the hardware. This means that the firmware it is running is irrelevant as the software is not being exploited. The only console you can hack is your unpatched one as your patched unit's firmware is too high to use the other inferior exploit. If you want, you can transfer your unpatched console's data to your patched one.

Hi Guys,

I have a problem that I cant figure out:
1. retored stock 3.0.2 nand
2. updated with choidujournx to 9.0.1
3. booted in atmosphere as stock sysnand
4. inserted factorysealed mario maker 2 into the switch and it told me it cant read it

am i missing something?! dont think it is the gamecard.

Thanks!

think i remember what happened. at some point i updated the gc update on my cfw and now i flashed back my old nand backup (which is strange because in the old cfw i used i cant open up game cards as well).
is there an option to reapply the update without burning fuses or something?

br

Hi guys, I'm back to the scene. Last time I was here was when Ps2/DS was modded and such. I'm so out of the loop but a friend got me an SX pro.

I made a backup of my nand and an EmuNand but past that I would could use some help.
My main goal is to cheat on single player games(That I own) on the EmuNand and possibly still play online (Super Mario maker 2) on my SysNand, is that possible?
My console is already on Firmware version 8.1.
To play online, I am guessing I will need to update my Sysnand to 9.1.0 (Since Mario Maker 2 requires an Update)?
What would I need to do to keep my system from getting banned? (Besides not using SX Pro)
Would having 2 sd cards help? One for the EmuNand and the other for the SysNand?
If there is nothing I can do to avoid getting banned, then I would still prefer to cheat on the games (Due to a disability)
What would I need?

Thanks for the help.

If you are using Fusee to boot Atmosphere, set nogc=0 in the BCT.ini file. If you are using Hekate to boot Atmosphere, set autonogc=0 in the hekate_ipl.ini file. Bear in mind both of these options will permanently update your gamecart firmware rendering it impossible for you to play cartridges on firmware versions below 9.0

To play online, you need to be on the latest firmware. To avoid getting banned, avoid using CFW & homebrew online. EmuNAND can help since it acts like a second console. You play online in one partition while you use CFW & homebrew offline in the other. Although people use SysNAND for online play, it actually does not matter which partition you use to go online. A second SD card will not help in this regard as it would be illegal and unreliable for Nintendo to scan the SD card to ban people.

So since I will be using EmuNand offline, I won't need to make another account(On the switch) and/or Kefir to make a fake linked account? It's fine if I just use the current one I have linked? Or would it be better/safer to do that.
Sorry for the questions, but it's a lot more information than in the past.

It is fine to use the same Nintendo account on both EmuNAND and SysNAND as long as one of them stays offline whether it be using Stealth Mode, Airplane Mode, 90DNS, Incognito, simply removing Wi-Fi settings, etc.

@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia.
