Homebrew Discussion Tinfoil: hateful messages?

Hi, I downloaded Tinfoil from the official website in order to install an NSZ file (which I did) and when I decided to leave the software, this message appeared (image) "Gay couples adopting children is child abuse". I tried to launch and quit the software to see if it happened again and guess what ? According to the devs of Tinfoil, "Gender Dyspohria is a mental disorder". Why is a hacking software full of hate toward minorities?

Anyway, I'll just delete Tinfoil now I guess, it's a shame.

I'm all for free speech. And you can't really moralize at the devs while using this software to pirate, which, let's be honest, you are. And to answer why would anyone say these things, its because they feel good to say out loud in a culture where people destroy each other for even slightly controversial opinions. Someone saying this isn't going to get your rights taken away. And another thing, i would never hate anyone for living their own lives as they see fit. I will absolutely hate someone the second they try to tell me what i am and am not allowed to say. If the result you fear is a resurgence of publicly acceptable hate towards LGBT or any other minorities, know that the best way to accomplish that is to restricts the freedoms of the majority in that minorities name.

Agree with you only for the last part. The problem is that writing something like that it's just directly offensive toward people that may actually use it. It's like they feel the urge to scream the hate they fell...
It's pathetic and disgusting, and that's that.
It will certainly not change minds or what else (and for that I agree for you, in the final sentence) but shouldn't happen anyway for the sake of human respect, just simple human respect.

If this is indeed in the vanilla version then Blawar should be ashamed. If it's in a modified version then revert back to the vanilla version and name and shame the dev/person who modified it.

And I know it's ironic to be outraged about that since I'm using a piracy software but the difference is that piracy is not about spreading hate.

I think at this point blawar has accepted the fact that he is hated in the community for all the sketchy shit he does and decided to lean into it.

The OG Tinfoil is a completely different installer though and doesn't support most of the features blawar's Tinfoil does. It doesn't even have a GUI. Goldleaf is better in that case.

AFAIK hate speech is against github's code of conduct. I filled a report hopefully they will do something.
He might force push his repo to remove these lines. So here are the commits adding these translations.
