Been away from the scene for some time now, I'm in 6.0 + SX OS:
- If I update will I need to download and install updates for all the games I have already, (the should work fine on 6.0 since I got them when 6.0 was the latest version) but I know that updating to a higher fm may require that I download updates and download them which is too much hassle. (or was this fixed, like a feature allowing me to play v 1.0 games with a higher fm).
- Is emunand a must nowadays? I don't use autorcm as I remember there's that issue that drain the battery and console won't turn on except if charged for a long time or using a dongle which I don't have or was this fixed meaning no risk in keeping auto rcm on knowing that I play not so often hence I don't wanna keep my console on.

- What is the safest way to update? ChoixDujour? Where can I find the 9.1 version?

Thanks

1) No, you don't have to install updates for games.
2) Only if you want to play online with legit games and offline with unlegit games.
3) Don't update to 9.1.0 yet. Update to 9.0.1.

Some other questions if u don't mind:
- I see that SX supports 9.1, you said I shouldn't update just to be safe right?

- I heard that choixdujour is a bit outdated, is it the most reliable way currently to update?

- I don't care about getting banned as I am not a fan of online gaming , so would updating officially get me in too much trouble (I did install an Nsp once and that's it) what should I do to reduce the risk of being banned if I update officially?

- Finally, updating officially burns fuses, whole I'm happy with the jig and rcm method, would burning fuses be an issue?

1) I was talking about Atmosphere. Personally, I would always wait before updating to the latest firmware, doesn't matter if you use SX OS or Atmosphere.
2) It works fine for me and I had never any issues with it.
3) It's your decision and I can't give you percents how safe it is. Updating offline with ChoiDujourNX is really easy and it's not necessary to update officially.
4) There are methods to prevent fuses from burning also if you update officially. Not necessary since updating with ChoiDujourNX is the recommended way in your case.

Thanks so much ❤️ I'll look for choixdujour tutorial then.
