I installed Android on my Switch, and Moonlight seems to be good for what I want, but I was wondering if Linux would have been better.

What I basically want to do is run somewhat simple games (visual novels), Daggerfall Unity, Morrowind/OpenMW with some mods, and maybe somewhat more complex games (Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, Oblivion, Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne with PCSX2, etc.).

I am okay with using Moonlight, but if Linux would remove the need for that, it would be great.

So, would it be possible to run those from the Switch itself with Linux and Wine, or would I be better off staying with Android and Moonlight?

Not sure if everything is working properly on linux for switch as I havent used it but if all is working then by far pick it as you can get much better performance seeing android can be a bloated mess

Android also seems somewhat limited.

Pretty sure Wine doesn't work on Switch's Linux, I'd stick with Android

If that is true, I suppose that I will stay with Android then.

Remember, WINE Is Not an Emulator. There's no way it is set up to translate all those Windows calls to an ARM environment.
