Hey all would like some help please before I do any more damage to my Wii

Running v 4.1
And was using wiiflow for a while

Tried to mod it using modmii 6.5.1

However I would NOT get the letter bomb during the install no matter what I tried

So I then updated the homebrew channel and I found it gave me the hack mii installer.

I then proceeded with the modmii hack that I had started previously

Now I think it's worked in general I have USB loader working and allowing me to play games from the SD cards.

However for some games I am getting either a black screen as it tries to load or a iOS loader error

iOS loader 250 and 247

In my wisdom I then went into mod manager and reloaded the 2 iOS files I was getting issues with but no luck

So ATM some games work and others don't.

Not sure what to do next please help

TIA Bart

Hello.:)

However I would NOT get the letter bomb during the install no matter what I tried

Yes,that is correct,it only works on Wii Version 4.3x.

Did you choose the ModMii Wizard and

- choosed FIRST Time Softmodding ?
- choosed 4.1U and stay on Version ?

Then it downloads ~53 Files including Bannerbomb v1,the matching Exploit for Wii Version 4.1U.
Did you used an 2 GB / FAT32 formatted SD Card for the Exploit ? Maybe that was the Issue why it not appears.:(

Thank you.:)

Yes used the wizardand I chose first time modding and to stay on version 4.1

I did not use a 2gb formatted SD card I tried with 4gb and 32 micro SD card in adaptor.

What should I do now?

Should I update to 4.3 and run the whole hack again?

Some games work and others don't

I still have old stuff like neogamma wiiflow and usb loader that doesn't work on the wii

Would you be so kind and post a sysCheck from your Wii please ?
Here is a very good Tutorial how to achieve this:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/posting-a-system-check.300279/

It generates a File called sysCheck.csv in the Root of the Wi´s SD Card.

Please insert it in your next Post/Answer.You can upload it or copy/paste the Content of the sysCheck.csv File (simply open it with the Windows Editor please).

Then we can see,in what "Shape" your Wii is and we can try to solve your Issues with the USBLoader GX.
(Please also check the Version of the Loader --> v3.0 r1272).

Thank you for your Help.:)

Your sysCheck looks good.:yay:

I am using usb loader 70r65 which works for some games

You mean the Configurable USB Loader ?

Usb loader gx the blue icon does not load it just crsshes

At which Point it crashes please ? On the Homebrew Channel ? When you start a Game ?
Which Version did you use (Latest v3.0 r1272)

Another important Point:

- Which USB Device did you use please ?
HDD/USB Stick/USB Pen Drive and so on...
- How is your USB Device formatted please ?
FAT32 (recommended !!) or NTFS/WBFS ?

Thank you.:)

For the Wii Game issue I think we have the Solution.
The USBLoaderGX can NOT play/start Wii Games from SD Card !!
Only from USB Devices prefered HDDs.

For Wii Games from SD Card:

Configurable USBLoader - please look for Version v70 r78.11,that Version works for the Wii Games.
Or you can try WiiFlow v5.2.0.

Thank you.:)

Thank you where can I find these?
I assume I would copy contents to apps folders and then install via hbc app manager is that correct?

WiiFlow:

https://github.com/Fledge68/WiiFlow_Lite/releases

Unpack it please and copy

- apps >>> Folder SD Card:\apps on your Wii´s SD Card
- wiiflow >>> on the Root of the Wii´s SD Card

Configurable USBLoader:

https://static.wiidatabase.de/Configurable-USB-Loader-Mod.zip

Unpack it please and copy

- apps >>> Folder SD Card:\apps on your Wii´s SD Card
- usb-loader >>> on the Root of the Wii´s SD Card

Thank you.:)
