How to do that safely? Googling that term brings up a lot of scary threads online, like bricking scary, from as late as last summer? EU DSi here btw.
Hello.:)

Please look at @Robz8 Avatar Pic/Status:

Ohne Titzzzel-2.jpg

It says DEVELOPER - He is the Man behind the Mask,I mean,TWiLight Menu.He knows what he is doing.
I would put my DSi Life in his hands.:D

You can safely uninstall Unlaunch, the "Warning" Message(s) are for scaring you that your Nintendo DSi is "not so good" without Unlaunch + HiyaCFW.:teach:
Please have an Eye on the Battery Status of your DSi during this Process.....

Thank you.:)

I'm aware... you his personal assistant or manager something?

I'm not talking about 'warnings', I'm talking about people warning that simply uninstalling could brick the DSi because of additional strings of code, as late as last summer.

Do you need to remove such things before trading in? Alternatively might not someone want a nicely modded DSi to play with?

Boy I wish, could get more for it that way, but it's been up on my local buy and sell website for months with no interest. Guess people don't appreciate the DSi anymore, even though there is so many great titles to enjoy, which I will continue to enjoy on my cfw 3ds, but need to cash in on this unit. Any links to a completely safe guide for this, for safely uninstalling Unlaunch on an EU DSi in particular?

You are not going to find what you seek. Every possible method carries some inherent risk.

Bricks can happen when uninstalling (ignore the two replies, OP clearly states that they used the Uninstall function in the menu.) The uninstall function is only safe if you know that your nand is completely clean. And unlike the 3DS, your only way of unbricking if uninstalling mods bricks you, is via a hardmod, which carries an inherent risk of ruining your motherboard if you make a mistake.

Unless trading in a modded console would get you into trouble with the law in your country, I really wouldn't recommend uninstalling. Alternatively, you could see how much your local store is willing to buy a secondhand DSi for, and lower your sell price on your local buy and sell website accordingly so you can sell it there instead.

Relaunch is far less safe than Unlaunch's built in uninstaller, since it requires flashing a nand backup of the entire nand and the DSi's nand is very low quality so just flashing it could be enough to brick, even if you did everything perfectly.

Using the installer's uninstall function is by far the safest option, I believe that if you used Unlaunch 0.9 on firmware 1.4.5 there may be a chance of bricking while uninstalling but beyond that I've never heard of a brick using the official uninstaller

How do I access the unlaunch menu to uninstall it? What is the tool called, unlaunch has many options. Do I need to have the original nand on the sd card somewhere to do this safely?

EDIT: Managed to figure it out. Really should be a part of the official guide though...
