ReverseNX works well with this, crisp 720p with a high overclock. For those that want the best experience.
I think it doesnt matter handheld or docked mode when you using high GPU OC like 768mhz, with handheld flag it still reach 720p with high clocks (might be lower? but with docked flag and the same gpu clocks it still that same resolution), using reverseNX only change the lowest resolution handheld to 540p (yes, handheld mode will go a bit lower than that for maintaing 30fps, 540p is laggy in manny area even with 460mhz gpu)

I've found also that handheld mode has something called "GrassSparsenessThresholdHandheldFactor". So by default grass is less dense in handheld mode, but only by 20%. :P

I find out myself, the game seems unplayable, very low fps even with highest overclock profile.

lol who tf sacrifice smoothy gameplay experience for... err... 20% more grass?? :rofl2:

edit: In docked mode seem draw distance is higher and fogliage distance can't be edited in setting

And 2 more strings I found:
- WaterLowResInHandheld
- GrassDensityHandheldFactor

But I can't find anything in config about them, so I don't know if they work. I don't see a difference in water res between handheld and docked.

can i add japanese voice to the game somehow?
Yes You can if You have pc version installed with japanese voices. Like Hungarian friend few pages ago said. You have to copy all language files in exactly same structure as they are in your pc to atmosphere/titles/01003D100E9C6000/romfs/
Just all dlc folders should be lower case, in pc they are ”DLC”, on your switch they must be ”dlc” and change file names from jppc.w3speech into jpnx.w3speech Then You can turn on your language of choice in menu options.

I cant seem to find the location of the Font game files for the Witcher 3, does anyone know its exact location?

I just checked, vanilla saves work perfectly transferred from PC.

Is this a one way street or switch saves will also work on PC?

can someone tell me how to transfer save file from PC? I almost finish the game and would like to continue if possible.

TIA,

1. Install Witcher, start the game and manually save the game progress. Exit game.
2. Install the Homebrew "Checkpoint save manager". Follow the Homebrew instructions to backup the new game save you just created.
3. Take your save file and png from PC, copy it to "sdcard/switch/checkpoint/saves/the Witcher 3/save file name folder/"
4. Overwrite the switch save and png with your PC files. (Make sure PC files is named the same as switch files so you can overwrite the switch files).
5. Open checkpoint, select Witcher, and restore the backup savedata that you just overwrote.
6. Play Witcher!

This method can be also used to get HQ audio on Switch.

so we can also replace default english language tracks on switch with English language tracks from PC? may i know which language files in the PC game should i get to do this?
All files in content folders called "enpc.w3speech".
You need to copy them to the same folder structure + all folders needs to have low caps.

This bilinear filtering is pissing me off! =(
Is any chance to change it to aniso or at least trilinear?

If I'm aware Witcher 3 doesn't support bilinear or trilinear filtering, only anisotropy.
Switch has Anisotropy x1 in config. I've changed it to x16 and didn't see any difference, so probably it's dynamically adjusted.
