G'morning all.

Searched thru forums and couldn't find a solution so thought I'd post up my syscheck to see if anyone has suggestions?

I recently installed homebrew and usbloaderGX on my son's Wii 4.3U but during 'install' the disc seems to freeze up and not copy.

Using ModMii, I installed all the patches (without Priiloader) but still no luck.

Before I attempt anything else and brick it, wanted advice from others who've had success after the same experiences...TIA!

Hello.:)

I am sorry to hear of your issues with your Wii.

Thank you for the sysCheck,a very good Idea for the first step to help you.:)

And another good News for you,it looks very good.

A little "cosmetic correction" and suggestion:
Please switch the Bases of

IOS249[57] (rev 21008 Info: d2x-v8final): Trucha Bug NAND Access USB 2.0
IOS250[56] (rev 21008 Info: d2x-v8final): Trucha Bug NAND Access USB 2.0

to

IOS249[56] (rev 21008 Info: d2x-v8final): Trucha Bug NAND Access USB 2.0
IOS250[57] (rev 21008 Info: d2x-v8final): Trucha Bug NAND Access USB 2.0

(for better combatibility).

If you like you can also update these two to Version:

IOS249[56] (rev 21, Info: d2x-v10beta52): Trucha Bug, NAND Zugriff, USB 2.0
IOS250[57] (rev 21, Info: d2x-v10beta52): Trucha Bug, NAND Zugriff, USB 2.0

but during 'install' the disc seems to freeze up and not copy

Did you make this with the INSTALL Option from USBLoader GX ?
Which Version did you have please ? The latest Build is v3.0 r1272.

Please try this and be so nice and give us a Feedback.

Thank you.:)

Sorry for the late reply...busy with work and slight flu...thanks for looking at this.
USBLoader GX is v3.0R1272 so the latest.
So using cIos installer, I tried editing ios 249 and 250 followed your instructions and the prompts, but the changes would not 'stick'...getting a red 'failed' under both slots on the map.
Here's the new syscheck:

Hello.:)

Thank you for the sysCheck.

On which Step did you get the error/failed Message please ?

Is your BootMii installed as an IOS ? Did you ever made an NAND Backup before with BootMii ?

Should I uninstall something

At the moment I would suggest please NO.:)

Please be so kind and also check on which IOS your USBLoader GX is runnning.

USBLoader GX -> Settings -> Global Settings -> Loader Settings -> Loader´s IOS (It should be IOS 58 (better) or 249).

Thank you.:)

Perfect !

I do have bootmii installed as ios and boot 2 (see syscheck) but have not launched it since install...so no nand backup as of yet.
:teach: I hope your Wii is working now.A NAND Backup of an "unround" working Wii is not a good Solution.

Ok,did you still have issues with your Wii and installing Games ? Please try it and be so kind and let us know.:)

Thank you.:)

Oh,that is sad,but...

Maybe I am a little sloppy, excuse me for that:

Did I ask you which Kind of USB Device you use ? A HDD is recommended - USB Sticks/Pen Drives/Thumb Drives and other ofthat Kind are not 100 Percent reliable.
And how is it fomatted please ? Recommended is FAT32.

Please try to change the Loader´s IOS to 249,in some Cases it helps.:)

USBLoader GX - Settings - Global Settings/Loader Settings - Loader´s IOS.

If this still not helps, there is another Solution with the Wii Application CLEANRIP.
It is a little "circuitous" but the changes are much better than with the installation method.:)

If you need further help with it,please feel free to ask.
Thank you.:)

Hello.:)
For your "Reassurance":

I actual tried it with USBLoader GX v3.0 r1272 and it reads no Backup Game.I can not even install or Boot a Backup.

The Wii Drive is ok,Neogamma works for Example. And with the Configurable USB Loader I can install Backup Games.
No Idea what causes this Issue on USBloader GX.I am sorry.

Thank you.:)

Finally found a little time to try and fix the USBLGX issues but no success...using the channel gets me to black screen while opening the app thru HB channel open the program but...now it doesn't see the HDD.
*I switched to an HDD fat32 instead of SSD but USBLGX doesn't see any ext usb drive.

Any way to reset the entire USBLGX to default settings or should I just uninstall (how to?) and reinstall?

Hello,

An advice :

always leave the SD card in the wii, when you play or others.

Start usb loader gx by HBC and see the result ??

Yes I always have the SD card inserted when loading discs, etc.

So I got tired of the non-functionality of USBLGX so I deleted from HBC and data management.

I used pimpmywii to update all my iOS' and am going to try to re-install USBLGX and see if it works...hopefully.

Funny though after doing a syscheck, all of pimpmywii's updates seem to conflict with ModMii since MM is recommending changes to a whole list of iOS'...

Suggestions?
