Failed to install CIA file.
Result code: 0xC86044D2
Level: Status (35)
Summary: Out of resource (3)
Module: FS (17)
Desc: Partition full (210)

That's the error I keep getting when I try to install Pokemon Y on FBI and before anybody says it's because my SD card is full I already cleared out basically everything I had on my 3ds to get it but it's still not working

Thank you. What size sd card do you have? That is showing only 133.1 MB of space free when you are trying to install a 1.68GB file.
It's a 4gb as card I don't know why it shows as 133mb because when I put the SD card into my laptop it says it has enough space and I literally had to delete every other game I had and photos

Your SD is out of storage
I had the same error code yesterday and fixed it by deleting stuff on my SD card

My questions are: How did you delete the games? Are you sure their files have been removed from the SD? Check the free space when you can access your computer.

Just to make sure there is no trouble with the SD itself, please do the test:
  1. Copy all your data from the SD to a computer. Reformat the SD to FAT32, 32kb cluster size.
  2. Check your SD Windows, Linux, OS X.
    • If you get any errors replace the SD.
    • If you get no errors delete the test files and
      • copy your files back on the SD ––– or
      • built a new temporary(?) setup by putting boot.firm and boot.3dsx from [Luma3DS, v10.0.1] on the empty SD followed by repeating the finalizing setup.
In case you chose to use the old setup look on the computer where the most of the data is stored to find out what it is and if it is save to remove.

I'm sorry to hear you can't afford a better SD at the moment. Still no reason for a personal attack. To make full use of very small SDs network installation may be an option.

Maybe you should try to download another (smaller) game from the same website you got pokemon y
Something may be wrong with the .cia file you got there
And to what is your SD Card formatted ?

Calm down, it was only a suggestion. I don’t know your situation I was only told you had a 4GB card.

I deleted them through the 3ds itself and how do I do network installation?

Ah crap ok so I found out that to install a .cia file you need to have double the space on the SD card and Pokemon Y is 1.7gb so I won't be able to download it hah crying time
