Hi all I hope im in the right place.

I finally got round to hacking my wii last week, I put USB GX Loader on it & went to play House Of The Dead 2 & 3 & it just went back to the homebrew menu.

I read up on it a bit on it & I got pimp my wii, tried finding the wads to add to it.

Im at a loose end and could do with some help.

Thanks guys :):):)

Hello.:)

That is very sad to hear of your Issues with your Softmod and your Wii.:(

The first thing we had to know is,in which "Condition" is your Wii at the Moment.
For this we need a sysCheck of your Wii please.
You achieve this by downloading the sysCheck Tool from here (and how to use it):
https://gbatemp.net/threads/posting-a-system-check.300279/

Please attach the sysCheck.csv (as an .zip File please) on your next Answer or "Copy and Paste" the Content of it by opening it with the Windows Editor.

Thank you.:)

Hello.:)

It should be in the Root of the SD Card.
Did you also have enabled "show Extensions" and show "Hidden Files" in Windows Folder Options ?

Thank you.:)

P1060402.JPG P1060403.JPG P1060404.JPG

please look for the following IOSes:

58
222
223
224
249
250

These are the main ones for the USBLoader(s) to play your Games.
You can please write down and post it here or look into your sysCheck.csv File and post it here.:)
Without knowing them it is very difficult to help you on your Issue.

IOS 58: USB 2.0
IOS 222: Stub
IOS 223: Stub
Not found IOS 224
IOS 249: Stub
IOS 250: Stub

That means NO PATCHES on them ? :(
May I ask please how did you Softmod your Wii ?

You need Custom IOSes for them (cIOSes) to play Backup Games with your USBLoader GX.

I suggest to make an update using ModMii:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/modmii-for-windows-official-support-topic.207126/

Please download and install this Tool.
For the Update you need your sysCheck.csv !!

If you need help on it,please tell it to us.
Thank you.:)

I ran ModMii on it forgot where I got it from to be honest.

Do u suggest I reinstall it off that link uv provided?

If you mean ModMii,yes, that is ok.
If you run ModMiiSkin and get to the Menu with the "Choose an Activity" please choose "ModMii Classic mode for more Activity".:)
There is then the Option SU for Update your Softmod.

Thank you.:)

Now I’ve tried doing all that, and reinstalled HackMii.

Still the same no game working ofUSB loader GX.

What is going wrong?

Or is there a different application I could use to run Wii games of USB coz that’s clearly not cutting it.

I followed a YouTube video in the end. Orignially I went off a tutorial. What I didn't do was grab the Cios installer & amend the IOSes like u needed to. Happy as larry with it now :D:D:D.

Just another thing, with other emulators ie PS1 Yabause,MAME would they be more detectable of an SD Card coz im putting roms for them on my external hard drive & theyre not being spotted at all.

Many thanks for the help as well :D:D:D:D:D:D

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I can start the emulators on the homebrew channel but the roms aren't detected for some reason.
