WUPDownloader
Current version: 1.1 [6 Oct. 2019]

Hello everyone!

I made a homebrew app to download installable content from NUS to the WiiU
Usage is simple: Input the title ID of a title and the Encryption key (If needed to create a fake ticket) and wait unitl download finishes. Then, you can install it with WUP Installer

[Please, don't do piracy with this app! Only download games that you had bought before]

Features
  • Download titles from Nintendo's servers (NUS) on the SD Card (SD:/install/)
  • Create fake tickets at the start of a download if not found on the NUS
  • Also, generate fake tickets for other downloaded titles on SD:/install/ folder (To fix missing ticket downloads)
  • WiiU Software Keyboard library support (SWKBD)
  • Download System/vWii titles
  • Downloaded titles can be installed through WUPInstaller
  • Download file hashes support (.h3)
  • Custom folder names
Changelog
1.1
  • Added download speed
  • (Channel ver.) Fixed crash while trying to exit to HOME Menu
  • Fixed a bug on SWKBD
  • Download size updated. Now is shown as "B", "Kb" or "Mb"
  • Some other fixes
1.0
  • Initial release

There are two releases: Homebrew Launcher RPX, and installable HOME Menu channel.

OMG love for the Wii U!! :D Thanks a lot!

Edit: I just tested it and it works great! I wonder if we could do something like, transferring the ticket to the SD card of the games we want to download and make the program READ from the ticket and that way it can download anything you throw at it....

Once again thank you so much for this.

EDIT 2: The home button HARD LOCKS the Wii U and have to press power for 15 seconds to turn off.

1- That it's a very good idea! I'm going to think on implement it
2- Okay, I caught the glitch and I will try to fix it

The WiiU wifi is slower than a PC one, but you don't have to move all of the title to the SD Card, since it is ready to install when the download finish
I recommend placing the WiiU near of the router, or have an Ethernet USB Adapter

Thank for your responses!

About 3 hours to download Captain Toad ... Mind you that game is 1.23GB
I see, that is slow kkkkkk. But good enough for finaly having something like this. I should use this new application by leaving the wii u on when i am working, then arriving to play new games ready on the box kkkk

if i download a DS game with this, will it work with Haxchi?

if you mean as your haxchi, then no. haxchi needs a legit ticket. fake tickets require sig patches, which you're clicking on haxchi to get. it will say something about the user account associated with the game not being present, and the game won't open.

It's like having NusGrabber on the Wii U, very good app! It looks a little slow, even slower than the Wii U officially downloading content from the menu, but still awesome!

Yeah, the app looks promising, I don't know about making a GUI interface, you need to know about GX2 Library or something like that? The only bug I found was that after finish the download the app crashes, but I think is like you said, that the home button crashes the app.
Anyway, this was useful to download some apps I have deleted from my Wii U thinking they will dissapear from the menu *Miiverse cough*.
Also, Nintendo left TVii in the Wii U file system... They only removed the icon, I guess it was for compatibility reasons, although my Wii U works perfectly fine without TVii or Miiverse. Sorry for the bit of off-topic.

I put the folder in wiiu/apps/WUPDownloader/ WUPDownloader.rpx meta.xml icon.png. And nothing it wont show up. Renamed rpx to elf and it showed the folder in hombrew channel. So why wont rpx launch for me or even show on my wiiu?

It downloads the games on the SD? Because I think if it downloads directly to the wii u I could install games that are heavier than my SD

Probably I could do it a little bit faster, due to programming things, because I did the app with less knowledge of C++ than now. Anyway, the WiiU eShop uses other methods to download things, actually unknown for me.

Yes, it downloads the titles to the <SD:/install/> folder, and then, you an install them wit WUP Installer GX2, for example

I'm thinking on make a GX2 version of this (Not an hypothetical WiiU-FreeShop app). I have some knowledge of SDL2, and it would be easy, but also a lot of time.
Also, I'm working on fix the bug on my free time, but it's hard because the Basic Screen and ProcUI libs don't get along very well...

Thank for your replies!

DiGiorno Crispy Pan Pizza tasted pretty dang close to Pizza hut pan pizza, but Im not sure if theyve been discontinued or not. Havent seen them locally for a couple of months now.

The croissant crust is still available though, but not quite as good imo.
