Hey everyone, just new to the switch hacking scene. I have the Mupen64plus, but not sure if I have the most recent config that allows flawless speeds that everyone talks about? I overclocked to max, but it's still iffy. Especially sound for example on Majora's mask. Works at almost full frames, but sound is slow... And smash and super mario 64 are way too slow.... ANyone have any tips?

Thanks!

Hey bud, so there's a core called Mupen64plus NEXT on Retroarch. Try this one instead. The games you mentioned are playable with it, although there are small loading hiccups on Smash. Also, be careful with overclocking "to max", I always overclock just a bit (handheld mode) and those are playable with 3x resolution without problems.

I see... Maybe I didn't ahve the "Next" version... Thanks! What about the config file? does it come with one? is it necessary, or just use the one I have?

Yeah, thats my guess. Well I don't know what you have changed, maybe you should reset the config by deleting it. I just set the resolution to 3x, the aspect ratio to "core provided" and everything worked allright.

Is there any way to increase the rendering resolution? Can´t find the right option:

This video shows Castlevania 64 in 1080p on Switch:

edit: got it. U have to close the content and start it again, so the changes in the settings are taking place. U can´t change some settings on the fly.
