It can't work without a "ModLoader" sysmodule, because the game stores all files in a bigfile called "DATA1.bin", there is no "patch1" folder by default.
And if you use SXOS, then you can't use it, because they aren't allowing custom sysmodules.
oof! well damn I guess I can stop going crazy on why nothing works lol. Oh well maybe in the future there will be an easier way to get mods working with just layerdfs alone.

Actually i was wrong, the patch1 and now patch2 folder are added with 1.0.1 / 1.0.2 so no modloader, sorry, it should work just fine after updating the game.

wait, so the mod actually works now? Crap, I deleted the file thinking it would never work without sysmodule and Death Chaos has removed the video too. Does anyone still have the mod to share?

He has the mod and other goodies over at FE hack discord "3DSFE ROM HACKING". Tho something tells me that kind of stuff doesn't work with sxos at all.
I attempted to mess around with the info patch files even the randomizer hack, but nothing changed on my end. Plus the hacking methods are way too complicated for me to understand everyone there is speaking in codes so to speak lol. Oh and Nintendo took down the video b/c of the mod

Hi there, I'm pretty new to modding the game, how does this work? Do I just put a .txt file with the codes in it under the titles folder?

Also, could I make a request of a code that allows all classes use full magic? And swap Ingrids default post-timeskip model with the Advanced Pegasus Knight (I accidently found this hidden class while using the save editor... it appears the same as the Intermediate one but has Lancefaire as one of the class skills)

Thanks a lot !!

Thanks for this! So I should use this the same as all other cheats ? If that's the case, will the change (eg. model swap etc.) stick after activating the cheat, saving and reopening the game?

unfortunately, as with all cheat codes AFAIK, the changes are only effective when the cheats are activated. If you exists the game and load that same save, the effect of any models swap would disappear and you would have to redo it again.

Is it safe to assume that when using these cheats, I should be offline? I imagine with the online part of the game tracking where your units die and the traveler thing from other players, you'd get flagged for like, a Dark Mage Lysithea or something, and probably get the banhammer.

Though, to be fair, it's common sense to be cautious when using homebrew and stuff, so... But it's kinda nice to keep it in mind if I run Atmosphere again on my Switch.

hum...you really really shouldn't even be online when you're on CFW to begin with...so the question of whether you should use cheats when online should never even have been considered.
Nintendo doesn't need to bother checking whether your units appear hacked or flag you for other suspicions. If you go online while you're on CFW, you will leave traces, and they will know and will ban you sooner or later.

Fair enough, I just hadn't bothered loading up Atmosphere again ever since my niece wanted to play Smash with some friends (I shut down and turned it back on to boot into the OFW), but that's a moot point now that I'll just end up being banned anyways, because I think I went on the eShop a few times when I had CFW. Oops. At least that means I can use that Switch for all the homebrew stuff when the banhammer smashes my thick skull open and just save up for a V2 Switch. ANYWAYS... another stupid question, that might have been already asked!

Since Falcon Knights don't use magic in the game, using the unlock magic code... does the game crash when you use magic while mounted? I assume if you're dismounted, it MIGHT be okay? Or does the game think you're a Dark/Holy Knight?

You never know when the banhammer strikes. Took it a year (right after I bought FETH and tried updating the game) for Nintendo to finally ban me.

I never tried that code myself, but from what I gathered from others' response, there's no animation (at least when mounted) and your unit just wobble around a bit, but the attack still works so there's no need to worry about crashing. You could try dismounting first but i don't think it would change much since the game just never gave pegasus knights any magic attack animations.

Try it.

Sorry for the delay. I just got the update installed and codes working. This code seems to make mounted falcon knight model really small but does not allow casting. Unmounting makes the model the right size, but still no casting.

I figured it out through trial and error. The correct code is

Since there is now a Dark Flier class by way of DLC, I realize this may be redundant, but I'm still curious: do you know how to update this code for 1.2?
