I don't get it...
What has to do the color changing eyes with design flaws?

And I thought I made bad jokes... but not quite?

I don't think there was supposed to be a joke at all.

Personally, i see it as a very astute metaphor for the simple fact that everyone is different and sure, sometimes it's wierd to have a charging port near your rectum, but they don't call it uranus for nothing.

*badumtss.

I mean the charging port on the bottom is a necessity based on the dock's design (The port connects to the dock when dropped in to charge it and display on your TV), it's not really a mystery at this point as to why it needs to be there. Now maybe they could have gone the Wii U gamepad route, where the bottom can charge and there is another port on the top to charge while you play, but that would have to add at least a little extra bulk and cost to the unit, so it's all pretty understandable.

To me it isn't, it's one of the most ridiculous features of the Switch. The placement of the port prohibits charging and playing in Tabletop mode at the same time, something they should've accounted for with a secondary charge only port *or* using a slide system on the dock for connection. Just the fact that the dock uses a straight-up USB plug instead of a zero insertion force connection or a mezannie is ridiculous, it's bad design. If you look at their previous systems they had no issues putting a charge connector on the top and a dock connection on the bottom. Admittedly those old connectors only charged the system, but nevertheless, this was a design decision, and a poor one. There's no reason why the Switch couldn't have a simple barrel plug or even a secondary port on the top, there is ample room for it. They're promoting Tabletop as a feature, so as a user I feel that I should be able to use it while I charge the system. Heck, even including a little stand would've sufficed.

I have an extra dock for playing in table top mode that the Switch slides into with a port in the back to charge while you play, looks just like the Wii U gamepad in it's charging dock, this works brilliantly for tabletop mode, and looks sleek all at the same time (this guy: https://www.amazon.com/Charging-Con...harge+cradle&qid=1566326059&s=gateway&sr=8-13). Yes, I've looked at the previous systems, I mentioned the Wii U gamepad in my post you quoted, did you even read the whole post? I noted how it would add extra bulk and cost to the system to do so, so again I'm fine with the decision, especially since I don't think I've ever had an instance where I need to charge the system while playing portably, I play portably plenty, but never more than 3 hours at once, so the "issue" really doesn't exist for me, which is humorous because when the system launched I thought for sure this would annoy me.

Yeah, the tiny charge docks are quite handy for this purpose. I did read your post, I simply think that one of these bad boys should've been included, or there should've been a workaround for this problem - the port doesn't *have* to be on the bottom to make a solid connection. There are technical solutions for this problem, but Nintendo chose to follow the path of least resistance - USB-C is not a connector intended for this kind of docking.

Yeah it wouldn't hurt to include such a thing, but at $10 it's not exactly a deal breaker, just a mild inconvenience. All the same, i would recommend to anyone that intends to play in tabletop mode to get such a dock, because frankly the kickstand of the Switch is the far more embarrassing design choice for the system if you ask me. Like it's great that they included one, but that thing is flimsy as all hell.

That kickstand can snap if you look at it funny, I don't know why they even bothered. The Switch is full of those little "quirks" that irk me, like the Joycons being on bi-directional rails when they only work one way and get stuck otherwise. A miniscule amount of plastic, one little peg, would've completely negated the possibility of putting it on the wrong way around by accident, but they've gone with the easier path, to the user's detriment. It's working just fine as is, but there are some functional problems with the system that should've been addressed in the design stage.

What if the red and blue eyes of the girl are a reference to those old 3D glasses, as a way to reference to Old 3DS's 3D flaws?

I mean, those guys are complaining about minor flaws on Switch and 2DS, but they seems to ignore the fact that O3DS is kinda worse on it's 3D counterpart, which gives headache to a lot of players.

Tempette is most definitely Switch-inspired - I should know, she's my creation. I figured that the dynamic duo needed a female counterpart for the relaunch of Temper Tantrums, so I brought a basic design to the table and we brainstormed until she was born. @Sushiru_River played a pivotal role ironing things out in concept art - I'm an ideas man, I have two left hands for art. I'm actually quite proud of the end result, I think the lack of characterisation was something that was missing from the old comics, so we put more emphasis on it now. You can expect the characters to become more defined and recognisable going forward, at least in the narrative section of Tantrums.
