I've been wanting to use an account switching app on my Vita 3.65 enso (with sd2vita using storage manager plugin) to swap back and forth between my "fake" account and my real one so I can remote play my PS4 away from home. Question is which app makes this easiest?

Was looking at Silica an Pina's Simple Account Switcher. Has anyone used it and what was your experience with it?

Yes I've used it on a few vita's and i gotta say i think it's the best one. I use account manager app to save my first account then use simple account switcher to switch accounts and then save second account in account manager and then you can switch back and forth in account manager.

You don't need to use a fake account for remote play though you can just remote play on your normal account I've been doing it for ages now.

Ha! I hadn't thought about using both, that's a good idea!

But what do you mean you can switch back and forth "almost"? Also if I read correctly, since I'm using an sd2vita, I should delete id.dat from both my official memory card and the sd2vita then use simple account switcher? Lastly when I want to switch using account manager do I need to delete id.dat again or no?

Almost instantly is what i was going to say but it still requires a reboot and i believe simple account switcher deletes the id.dat as well as 2 other files i can't remember at the moment but account manager backs up those 3 files and is able to switch them for you. It basically delete 1st accounts 3 files and replaces it with 2nd accounts 3 files, you can have as many accounts as you want and after saving the 3 files with account manager you can switch to it rather than using simple account switcher to sign in again.

Hi, I'm glad this topic is something recent haha, I have a problem, I was reading the conversation and I followed the steps to the letter, but when I want to switch between accounts with the Account Manager it just does not change the other account, go back to the one that was previously started, so I have to resort to the simple switch and log in manually, why is that?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I also have a sd2vita in Uxo and advise me to delete the id from the original memory and the sd2vita, but what I don't understand is whether I should delete the id before saving the account in account manager or after? I don't think that's the problem anyway

Thats exactly the problem lol the simple account switcher app deletes the files for you, and the 3 files need to be present while saving the account in account manager app

So correct steps would be to save account in account manager first and then switch accounts with simple account switcher.

Only id.dat you'll need to delete it the one in the sony mem card usually uma0 the one in ux0 will be deleted by the simple account switcher app along with the 2 other files you should probably delete those two other files in sony mem card as well, check their names in accont manager folder in ux0/data

I think I am already understanding the problem, what would those other 2 files be that I would have to delete? they are 3 and one of them was the id

Ok that's good everything working fine then?
And sorry ths location stated above is wrong the files are saved to ux0:activation_backup
They are
act.dat
system.dreg
system.ireg

I think you can leave those alone, just deleting id.dat should suffice

Well, apparently it doesn't work, I press Square to toggle between accounts and when rebooting it just goes back to the usual account, I guess I have to go from account manager and use just simple switch. in the same way thanks for the time to help me!

What firmware do you have? This might only work if you have enso installed.
And sure np, hope you get it sorted out.
