i would like to know if its posible to extract a savedata from the archives and folders directly from the SD card, its for a friend's old2DS, but the console doesnt turns on, only blue led parmanent, but with black screen i have the backup of her SD, my old3dsxl, and a PC to manage the archives, i just want t extract a savedata of a game that she had installed on her console.

the computer let me manage the SD card, and i tried to turn on the console with my SD and it worked, also tried to turn it on withoud SD and it turned on, but since i have access to the DATA on her SD i just want to surprise her with the savedata inyected into an original cartridge.

i would really apreciatte some help.

Does the friend's 2DS have B9S installed? What have you done to troubleshoot?

i tried to change her boot.firm, boot 3dsx, and the 3ds folders of my sd into hers, but it didnt boot, i tried to put my sd on her console and it booted, (obviously without my games or themes), so i think that the problem is her SD or her data, but however, i have a backup of her SD, i just need to take out the save of the game, not the other apps ort info, just the saves

Without the SD in the 2DS, boot the system holding Select. What happens? If it goes to the Luma3DS configuration settings, which version of Luma3DS is displayed?

It sounds to me like this could be an easily fixable problem, which would make getting the saves much easier.

Assuming B9S (or A9LH) is installed, it sounds to me like you might be using an incompatible version of Luma3DS on the SD card, but the one on the CTRNAND is compatible.

If we find out the version of Luma3DS on the CTRNAND is v7.1 or lower, then we've found your problem. If the version of Luma3DS is v8.0 or higher, then the SD card might need to be reformatted with SD Formatter.

i understand, i will check that on monday or any other day, but the idea right now is not about fixing the sd data, i want to present her with a original TLOZ ocarina but with her savedata, if we fix the SD first, she will play the installed version, that will turn my gift useless, thank u so much for your help, but do you think that its posible take out the save from the SD just with my console?

If you cannot get the 2DS working with the SD card, you can follow this guide:

These are the important bits of that link:
You need movable.sed from the system whose SD card contents you want to browse. You can get it from essential.exefs, or by copying it from CTRNAND -> private -> movable.sed.

You can extract game saves and extdata with a tool like 3ds-save-tool.

You will also need boot9.bin, but that is the same for every 3DS. You can find it with Google, or you can dump it from your own 3DS with GodMode9.

These are all things that can be obtained without a functional SD card, but it will probably be harder than just fixing the problem.
