I preordered the Pokemon Switch Lite, but am just as likely to cancel before release. I do kind of want one that is smaller and less embarrassing to carry around.
Embarrassing as in what? I find it cool to carry a switch, I mean if you think this way, it Will be more embarrassing to carry a switch lite as it's cheaper.

I mean, I don't really give a shit either way, nor if I spot anyone else with a Switch, it's just large to the point of practically needing a man-bag to take out of the house. Plus, my wrists can barely sustain prolonged cell phone usage as it is.

It's "Yea or nay" (yea meaning to agree with or approve of something; yay is an excited exclamatory word), and I say yea. The affordability is a very big factor in my purchasing decision, as well as the fact that I don't already have a Switch. I may consider a Switch Lite.

It almost certainly won't be vulnerable to existing exploits. Fusee-gelee started being patched on units shipped in 2018, and it's very likely going to be released with 8.0.0 or higher, which excludes Deja Vu. There are no other exploits in the pipeline.

Nintendo also did a great job with security, and I can't understate how daunting finding a new exploit is. SciresM, an authority on the subject, thinks patched systems on 8.1.0 "probably" won't ever be hackable.

In summary, new systems on 8.0.0+ probably won't be hacked for years, if ever.

The brigth side is that the launch switches with the bug can play anything unless nintendo change something and force you to get a new system or no zelda ,while we can still play zelda nothing matters haha we got lucky even the wiiu and 3ds took years to crack it

There's no evidence of a "New Switch" with better specifications that will be required for more intensive games (a la the New 3DS). If this were to happen in the distant future, first-party games like Pokemon and Zelda are highly unlikely to require the new hardware.

as an almost adult, I'm gonna get a switch lite.
The only time I really use dock mode is in competitive games, like splatoon 2 and Super Smash bros.

whenever I want to play s2 I can just play in handheld, and smash I can just use an adapter to wire my pro controller.

I really do enjoy the smaller size, it means less to carry around. The lack of removable joycons is something I enjoy, because they decide to pop off by themselves.

I pre-ordered two switch lites. I have a regular switch as well. one lite is for me and the other for my daughter that never uses docked mode. Don't care if its hackable or not, that's what my original switch is for.

We are sharing. They only use it when friends come over, so I'm using it a lot more :) And they now it's mine...
I also use my 3ds's a lot I guess. The switch is on 6.2 and has never gone online. I want to go online with the Lite.
That's very nice my switch is on 6.2 too haha never online
