Hey guys. I had my Switch working on OFW 8.1.0 AMS 0.9.2, using sysnand (last OFW installed without ChoiDujourNX was 6.2) for online and EmuMMC for CFW.

Today I launched Hekate (v5.0.1 and Nyx v0.8.1) and selected launch CFW. I was expecting it to run from EmuMMC, and after boot I installed 2 NSPs to the SD card, then I realized I was on CFW over sysnand.

So I quickly went over hekate again, restored the nand (RAW) and boot files (00, 01). I forgot to enable autoRCM after this.

Then I tried to launch CFW so that I could update again to 8.1.0 using ChoiDujourNX, but hekate booted into EmuMMC this time. Everything was fine there. Then I launched hekate once again to launch CFW on sysnand: I got the Kosmos logo stuck for some 15s and then black screen. The console now doesn't turn on or off (12s pressing power button does nothing).

Any suggestion??

I expect to open the console and disconnect and reconnect the battery, as it might have triggered some security over the EMMC being corrupted or something. But I don't have the screwdrivers right now, hope to get in some days.
Any help appreciated!

EMMC corruption is what AutoRCM does. So it can’t make your Switch not start, even if your really was corrupted.

Have you done the basics, your console is on a black screen so possibly off. Leave it plugged in for an hour then try A) turn it on normally. Then if fails- B) Use TegraRCM from a computer to see if you are actually in RCM mode, if you are send a payload. I would’t be opening up my switch personally, unless as an absolute last resort. If your switch is bricked through hardware, the battery wont likely be the problem.

Hi, A) it was actually full battery before this, so I haven't tried to recharge it. As I would actually prefer it do drain first and then try this. This was just yesterday, so not yet.
B) it is not in RCM mode either, I already checked.

Have you tried just placing it into RCM manually using a jig? Then seeing if Tegra can detect it?

Yes I've tried. It just doesn't boot into RCM mode either. Tegra can't see anything while connected via usb.

Just tried holding longer, just in case. Nope.

I hope it is a voltage security feature that's making it unable to turn on. I've seen that reconnecting the battery solves it. I'm just waiting for a friend to borrow me the security screwdriver to try this, will update after trying.

If this doesn't work I might try to restore EMMC using the USB writer module by HardKernel.
