I'm trying to find the best way to buy microsoft office 2019, but $70/year seems pretty high. I understand that this isn't MS office, but for free it's really good shit.. You can also save your files in a MS office format.

On Amazon.de you can get License Keys for Microsoft Office 2019 (for Windows 7/8/10 too) License Keys from 18 Euro up.
Is this legit ? You can ask Amazon,THEY sell it.

Do they work ? YES.

From EBay I think it is the same.
You maybe have a 50:50 percent risk that the Key DO NOT work.
(If you buy this License Keys you also can find ways to get them work.)

I personally pay for the Office 365 subscription because I like getting the feature updates as they come out, rather than only every 3 years (Office 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019). That said, I never pay full price. Every year there's a sale on Amazon for Office 365 which comes up a fair bit cheaper than Microsoft's automatic renewal price. I get the one with 5+1 licenses to share with my family, and each licence comes with 1TB of OneDrive and can be used with up to 5 devices... which sorts all of us out.

I could also get it for free from work, but meh...

Professional Plus is (or at least was in the past) a volume license version, not really supposed to be resold, but from a technical point of view it will work absolutely fine anyway

oh, one more thing. office 2019 or office 365? both have lifetime keys that I can buy.

Just go for professional plus 2019.

Office 365 doesn't have a lifetime license, because you're not getting a license (as we were used to), you're getting an account to be able to use it for the time period you payed for, nothing more.

I'd say, go with Ms Office 2019 if you have a Windows 10 device.

Just use Libre Office my dude. It's very good and is pretty much perfectly compatible with MS Office documents nowadays. Unless you rely on some really obscure, barely documented top secret features of MS Office, you'll have no problems with Libre Office whatsoever. The only hurdle is that the interface is generally different from MS Office, but it's still easy to use.

From corporate IT experience, for anyone that wants to know office 365 is cloud base subscription that usually is only for one year and these keys you see often on eBay are usually volume keys but stolen, once all the seats get taken up you can't activated them, so for anyone that wants to buy them if you get them inbox , activate them asap.

Just get professional plus, you get the license key for it, activated and you should be good.

It's generally people selling stolen volume license keys, either way it's legally no better than downloading an activator for free.

Get it from an us seller if you are worried.

hmm...the closest one to me that I can find has next to no feedback, which has me worried. I just contacted the seller from that auction above to see what he says about it. my guess is that it doesn't matter, 'cause it doesn't say anything about that being a problem, just the no cd/dvd (digital only) thing.

I know, but I don't know if there's a problem with installing a European version of the app. I'm assuming that they're all pretty much the same, but I wanted to make sure before committing on this purchase.
