--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Can i install this HBL on a old3DS with Luma CFW 9.1 and 3DS version 11.9.0.42-U ?
GridLauncher isn't being maintained anymore; I suggest you just use the stock Homebrew Launcher.

Lucky for me and everyone that uses luma the creator (NightYoshi) said he got his motivation back for make grid layout and was gonna see if he remembered C for make it compatible with luma :3

Who?
GridLauncher was made by @mashers.

@Ortainu This app is long dead. The author left the 3DS homebrew community due to the attitudes of some people here on the board. It doesn't work with current CFW setups.
I see, thanks for the reply. By the way i had like 7 gbatemp tabs open and all of the favicons changed accordingly when i got the notification which was cool.

Nice job bumping a thread from December.
This project is long dead. It was cool while it lasted, though.

The favicon changing is just tied to the site constantly checking for notifications. Since you read the notification, the alert disappeared thus all the icons changed.

Correction: This thread died in 2017.

Wish this wasn't dead

I'm curious how he got system tiles on the homebrew launcher though - is it a .3dsx forwarder to launch a .cia thru like a modded version of FBI or just smth cool

If possible - how to get it on lastest homebrew

sorry to necro but this still is p active now lmao

There are many userland apps that have been able to see/launch system apps.
This was released before CFW, and works without it. In fact it was already said it won't work on current CFW. Back then, launching cia files was a pretty big thing and userland was still all the rage.

I don't follow the scene anymore, so no clue if/how to get it on the latest. Would probably require a complete overhaul or rewrite of the app.

Does someone have a .cia of it or whatever??? The github link just 404s and it looks much more cooler than the classic HBL.
It might. But it also doesnt work with current cfw which is stated multiple times in this thread. So the app is kind of redundant.

There is an updated fork of this for which the link still works but it needs to be compiled... Does someone have the compiled cia (or 3dsx) for it?

Are you refering to nightscripts fork of this? Its got open issues of crashing and not working on luma 8.x and higher.

So what, I have to use the classic one? This looked so cool from the screenshots...
That tis the usual for when a app becomes a dead project, doesnt get updated anymore, and the cfw scene moves on. No clue if you could even get this running without a lot of changes to be made to bring it recent. Tho I dont think anyone would even care to do that at this time.

I mean I would love to have this app back. The UI looks way cleaner than stock hblauncher.

Can anyone send me a google drive of the files for it so I can just manually put the files in?
Post automatically merged:

Does anyone have a google drive with the files for this without using the updater? It's mad broken.
