im on 8.0.1 but ok
okay don't recommend 6.2 to people then if it was that good you would be us
Thank you, I will try this~!

Is there a reason I cant just use my computer to re-format the SD card? Why would I need to use Guiformat for a sd bigger than 32gb?

Also- Why do I need to inject the fuseee primary payload? Up until now I have been using the Hetake payload?
oh use fusee primary idk why you have been using hekate to boot atmosphere. If you're on windows there is no option to format to fat32 when using a card bigger than 32gb so you need to use guiformat (close all windows when using guiformat as you may get an error message saying you can't format because the sd is in use)

Windows don't have a FAT32 format built in, that you need to use third party formatter like guiformat, as for fusee primary, it is the official bootloader for Atmosphere.

OK thank you for explaining! Fingers crossed this solves my problems!

I have downloaded the files you suggested, deleted the atmosphere folder from my sd, put the folder from the link you provided (along with the sigpatches) onto my sd and the games still have the same error!! Could it be the NSPs I have used? Maybe they are dodgy files? I do not know what else to do. I am pulling my hair out!

reformatting the micros SD card may solve that. I don't remember what it should be reformatted to though. Also, I would use tinfoil to install the NSP's it is possible that you have bad/corrupt files but also seems unlikely. I've never come across any NSP's that wouldn't work for me but there are ones people make that corrupt your nand so be careful. It's also possible that the sigpatches havent been installed correctly. Hard for me to diagnose really.

The sigpatches just need to be put into atmosphere folder on the SD card right?

Thanks for also confirming his idiocy he was saying some dumb shit

A clean setup which will 100% work is
delete everything apart from the nintendo folder
Move your nintendo folder to your pc, format to fat 32 and then move it back to your sd card (if your sd is bigger than 32gb You can use guiformat on windows to format to fat32)
download the latest atmosphere and put on the sd
download the latest sigpatches and put on the sd (make sure the kip patches and exefs patches folders are in the atmosphere one on your sd card)
Inject the fusee primary payload to launch atmosphere.

I am having real trouble moving the nintendo folder from SD to computer. It is saying that certain files cant be moved due to having no storage. However I have 380gb available and the nintendo folder is only 58gb....Do I NEED it or?

The Nintendo folder is what has the screenshots etc from the device stored in it from what I know. I think it also contains digitally downloaded games stored on the SD card. You could delete it if you don't care for that. More crucial stuff such as the save files are stored on the system itself though, so unless you have some games saved you don't want to lose or screenshots then there's no major loss. You could always get those games back anyways.

I believe you actually need the files which nintendo create on the sd card for it to be recognised though right? Obviously you don't need your installed games/updates. I'm not 100% sure though I've never tried to boot without the nintendo folder

Format the SD as FAT32 with a 32 bit cluster, my setup is simple, latest ATMO, updated without burning fuses (I can link the guide). Booting using Fusée(Hakate is good, I just prefer the pure atmosphere setup(-:.) I have auto RCM also, most people do not like it, and for playing online I wouldn’t either unless you’re using Emu, but when you just want a modded console I love it, it bypasses the need for a jig.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Honestly the Nintendo folder without it being modified shouldn’t effect the CFW. It is needed for a boot, it does hold saves and things, if worse comes to worse, delete it, reinsert the SD into the switch and it’ll create a fresh Nintendo folder. You can then booty CFW and if you have this problem again, backup your saves.

I reformatted my SD card to FAT32. Put all of the files from SDsetup, went into RCM mode, injected fusee payload and now I cannot boot into Atmosphere. It says -
"[FatFS] Error: NOFAT
Failed to mount SD card (FATFS Error 13).
Make sure that a FAT partition exists.."

Any ideas?

if you're getting the files from sdsetup they're likely out of date I don't even think they have sigpatches up to 0.8.1 and I believe they still use atmosphere 0.8.10 which also won't work on 8.1.0

get atmosphere 0.9.1 and fusee primary from here https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/releases

get sigpatches from here https://gbatemp.net/threads/i-heard-that-you-guys-need-some-sweet-patches-for-atmosphere.521164/

inject the fusee primary payload when in rcm

Kosmos is just atmosphere btw but with a load of bundled shit you don't need and is usually out of date (like now)

Honestly grabbing ATMO latest release plus Fusée is your best bet. It is the same process.
Right thank you. I am now booting into atmosphere.

What other things do I need. Is Goldleaf the best for installing NSP's? Do I need any other files for the switch?

Also, I appreciate all of the help!

Here is my guide. Reformat the SD card using https://www.partitionwizard.com/free-partition-manager.html. I have been using it to format the 3DS SD setup I have and SWITCH. Format it as a FAT32 32 bit cluster size.

Either reinsert it into the switch to boot and get a clean Nintendo folder or put a backup you made of the original on it.

Download atmosphere, and Fusée from the atmosphere github, put the files on your SD card, boot Fusée after RCM. If it does not work after that, I’d reach out on the reswitched discord or via GitHub.

I use gold leaf. You can use others, but gold leaf, you also need signature patches. You can find them on the gba switch exploits tab. The download you get will also show the place to place them in the SD card. That is how you will be able to boot/ install games. That is basically it, anything else is preferable.

https://gbatemp.net/threads/i-heard-that-you-guys-need-some-sweet-patches-for-atmosphere.521164/ Post for SIG patches. Just use the downloaded folder, and the paths to find where they go.

Thanks! Where is the best place to download Goldleaf? And is this just put on the root of the SD card?
How do I enable AutoRCM?, on my original setup I just pressed the VOL- button whilst injecting the Hetake payload and configured it in tools.

I also always use githubs for switch downloads. From the original author. Here is gold leafs. https://github.com/XorTroll/Goldleaf/releases

As for autoRCM I enable that when I update manually via CHO. You might have to boot Hakate once, enable autoRCM with that, then you can use Fusée again. Let me double check, I will quickly reply with how!

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Yes, from what I saw it is the same method, use Hakate to enable RCM in the setting, then switch to using Fusée. Using hakate to corrupt the boot will carry over to Fusée so yea, boot hakate(I don’t remember which settings, but I believe it’s tools, then enable autoRCM.)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

As for other tools, I use checkpoint if I ever have to backup saves, if you’re into it you can use the amiibo sys module with games that support it to kind of trick the switch into thinking you have any amiibo you want (-:. That’s it for me honestly. Also did you make a band backup? Before you do anything make a nand backup.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Sorry for replying so much lol. When I first started it was hard to get going, I can answer any questions with a PM or this thread (-:

but i dont want trouble with Choi Brick and i updated accidently my EmuNAND is on 6.2

I mean in general, few people on the forum would agree with me that you provide misleading info, as for newer games it would require higher firmware so if people wants to play them they gonna have to update.
i talked about HB Compatibility

Majority of the homebrews out there works on 8.0.1, there is no reason someone should really be on 6.2.0 anyway, 7.0.1 maybe.
