PS1/2 PS2 Ulaunch.elf black screen loading modified elf

Hello people I have a problem loading an elf for a modified ps2 game with ulaunch, it is the nfs demo most wanted, it is an iso file and I copy it to opl and it works without problems, however there is an elf file that if you execute it you can access the menus of the demo and do things that in the normal version of the demo you can not, burn the demo in a dvd and the esr patch since my ps2 does not have any chip, the disk reads it and loads without problems but if I go to the ulaunch and eject the modified elf the black screen remains and the light of the usb stops blinking, the elf file is in my usb, a few years ago I had a slim and if I could load the elfs with modified demos without problems since it was a slim with matrix chip and did not need to patch the iso and could load, I do not know if the esr causes some conflict when loading the elf but now I get the black screen and I can not access those options , the ps2 is a model fat scph-39004 pal


there is a guy on youtube who can load those modified elf files and the games load them, although he says absolutely nothing about how to do it, any comment is welcome, thank you very much and good night

Are you launching uLaunchElf through ESR? If you're not, that's your problem. Get the GUI version of ESR, it makes it easier to use all the features.

Hello, thanks for answering me, I am loading Ulaunch through the freemcboot menu of ps2 menu, when I put the disk and it reads it says up dvd esr (off) how do I run the esr with ulaunch? if I go to the mass folder where the elf files are and I press to load an elf I get the black screen and the usb light stops blinking, i change the elf name to boot.elf and nothing


When i put a random burned game backup patched with esr shows the logo of esr and blinking colours and then the game starts thats normally with any game but if i try to load the disc in ulaunch ejecuting the elf from the modified game i get that black screen

The last time I looked into this, uLaunchELF in a ESR disk was not a requirement for ule to work. That's insane.

If I give "launch app" with the dvd put gives me a white screen, if I give "run dvd / cd" will load the demo disk without any modification :

Your version of ule an fmcb look fine to me. What puzzles me is why aren't you playing the full version of those games with opl (using smb or a usb disk). If its about story mode completion and you don't want to get through the game, you still can edit those saves in the memory card directly.

I managed to make the modified elf work to do it, had to touch the system.cnf and rename the elf BOOT.ELF from opl, it only works with opl, if someone wants the iso of nfs underground demo already converted ready to use in opl with the elf modified ask for it, I'm the first in the history of mankind to do this haha
