Yeah, I remember the 3DS. Loved the new features versions like 11.0, 10.0, 8.0 and others came with. Heck, I loved how the hole 11 and 10 versions and all its revisions came with new features. That's totally like Nintendo works and have accostumed us.Anyways this firmware version number are suspicious to me (8.1.0), they up the minor version (that on software usually means that this version have a new (atleast little) features) but don't say nothing on the changelog about new features, so I think that they implement new methods against scene (telemetry or cfw detection improvements for example) obviusly they don't say nothing about this changes because their interest are detect and ban all hacked switches possible, but I'm sure that soon the ReSwitched team appear with more info about the changes and not only for the new TSEC keys.
For a real little fixes or stability improvements, we usually only up the micro version number (8.0.2 for example) but it just my theory I can be wrong here.
Simple: Wait, don't downgrade.so should I just wait for the hacker teams to release the new cfw update,
or try to downgrade?
please don't bully meeeeeeeeeeee
I just love how Hex just ask for the keys, and TSEC gives it to him.
Oh, a new problem for hackers, I guess the atmosphere will be the first one to solve this problem.

Atmosphere will release a new Sept probably, then ReiNX can port it and use it. SX needs to extract the new key. Then it's back to normal.
Just a odd release now? Why not next week when Mario Maker 2 hits?
I wonder what they will do
If they release a new switch model/revision
I wonder if they will patch this "dormez" exploit
what crack are you smoking?Oh, a new problem for hackers, I guess the atmosphere will be the first one to solve this problem.

Not all consoles have working exploitsCalm down. a new model nor revision will always have an exploit. All are hackable but all will take time to jailbreak anyway.
Has the grace period been like a day or two for recent updates? I know it's not as long as it used to be.Online features are all still working on a pending update, for how long we don’t know but no need to rush updating for online use.
GUYS I NEED HELP I'M A NOOB AND DESPERATE SWITCH USER,
My stupid 7 y/o accidentally updated the firmware to 8.1.0 and now it can't boot
and I'm freaked out because you guys said that it's broken forever
is there anything I can do? also please use language that I can understand ^^
Not all consoles have working exploits
the switch scene just got lucky with nvidia's mistakes
cough cough xbix one cough coughYes, but not all cracked right away like Nintendo Switch. However, every consoles are hackable and jailbreakable. It is just a matter of times and years to crack some consoles, that's all.
cough cough xbix one cough cough
Mariko will have significantly improved bootrom security, so we probably won't be able to attack that. Secmon has zero useful exploits, so we won't be able to attack that. And the kernel has zero useful exploits, so we won't be able to attack that. Literally the only possible way hacks will ever be a thing on it is if somehow Nintendo fucks up and adds a new exploit in a future system update, or if Nintendo ships them with <=5.x (which they won't).Calm down. a new model nor revision will always have an exploit. All are hackable but all will take time to jailbreak anyway.
there is another way the legal rout charge Scires M and co. and prevent them from releasing cfw ever again (they're still breaking the law even with their anti piracy stance it's just one less charge and their still looking at years in prison if found/charged)
Scires know fine the law, so I doubt that they can do something to their on this way, as you can see, atmophére repositories are 100% legal, so they can't charge him and "co" without break the law first.
wrong they are still circumventing security which is against DMCA and the EU's copyright laws you can still go to prison for that
