Hey guys this is gonna be one of my first real tutorials and i can't take the credit for all of this i gotta give credit to @CrisFTW for finding the case code and making XL case cheat that is how i found the case editing area
and i also have to thank @Retroboy for helping me in this research and inspiring me to find it but here's how you do it!

Step one: open RE 4 and start the game new or load doesn't matter but open inventory
Step two: hit home and go to sx os
Step three: Go to ram editor
Step four: hit jump to address and then type in "Heap+0x2A6C9B80" This will take you to your case!
Step five: find 23 00 01, that is your Pistol and 23 is the main item id in hex so now we will look for the item you want! using >>https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3w6RNycZEHEdE9oTWN6X0RFalk/view
Step six: once we find the item we want in decimal code we will convert it to hex! for example Killer 7 magnum is =042 in decimal so when it's converted it becomes 2a in hex so now we replace the 23 from the previous step with 2a
Step seven:now we are going to go back in game move the gun then go out of inventory and go back in! that's it! you're done!

inb4 someone complains their game is running slow. Don't forget to save and quit the game after using SXOS cheat menu. This will help the game gain back the necessary ram it needs to run the game at full speed

That guide is nice but people are lazy and prefer to just enable code.

Plus the actual address for handgun starts 2a6c9b8e.

Ive already started going through and the values in your link dont all work for some reason you cant replace handgun with a key item.

Ive been adding my findings in my paste bin but good find.

The code ive done based off yours replaces your handgun with xxx and places it outside your case so it doesnt affect anything else you already have and gives you the option to move stuff round so it fits.

Key items has their own section, so you can't replace anything in attache case with them.

Ill be adding key items but this isnt as simple as hes putting you cant just change 23 handgun to 03 for matilda it will remove youe handgun and put nothing in its place.

You need to make sure the entire value for the weapon is correct not just the id

i know the process, i have years of making cheat codes.

simply pointing out for others you cant simply goto that address and change 23 to 03 because it removes the handgun completely, try it yourself from a new game.

the memory for each weapon (full memory not just your address) has to be correct or else it shows nothing.

I caped because i was writing code at the time too.

Your sharing on here so others will want to use it and if it doesnt work it needs to be sorted so it will work and like im helping you so the code is correct and works for everyone.

The switch is full of people posting codes that works for them but not others and it makes it a mess and people begging for codes that work.

Would you not agree its best to do the job right first then post on here after all its a public forum where others will want to use them.

I know what your doint, while case is open your chaning value then equipping it.

But if your using it as an actual cheat code and not editing memory the images i posted is the results.

Users dont want to faf about editing memory, they want a simple on off cheat code.

I’m just glad to you’re making codes out of this information, I just wanted to get items i wasn’t supposed to like the pistol silencer, either way I think we both helped people, you with the codes and me with an idea, this way they have the option to either do it themselves or active your code, either way I think we’ve done well at this point

Thanks reclaimershawn for this cheat. I didn't know it was not so easy to use cheat on the switch; i believed it was enough easy like ocarina on wii/gc in his time...
