I used my Switch, in the dock, to resize a 2nd SD card's fat32 and ext4 partitions. So, if you have 2 SD cards, you can install L4T to both, boot using one of them, and resize the other from within Linux, using a USB SD card reader, with both it (w/SD card) and your Switch (running L4T on your other SD card) plugged into your (official) dock.
That's intense haha

Windows can't see ext4 partitions so that 500 MB free is just the remaining free space on your Fat32 partition. Once you boot into Ubuntu you will be able to see all the files on the Fat32 partition as well as your ext4 partition, and you can copy stuff over or access it from there. If you're trying to transfer more than 500 MB, your options are to either grow your Fat32 partition or you can put your files on a flash drive, boot your switch into Linux, the plug both it and your flash drive into the dock, then copy the files over. Bear in mind I've never actually tested USB storage on this but I've heard that it works according to others on here.

On that note, I want to know if there's a way I can reformat some drives I formatted as ext4 back to something Win10 can read/format? Because right now, I can't format these drives I used for transferring all of my stuff off of my main computer, and we're talking higher capacity mobile storage, not some 4GB flash drive that a middle schooler can only afford!

Sure, you just have to reformat them to fat32 or NTFS from a Linux computer. So you can do it from your switch or if you have a live USB for your computer you can do that. I recommend using GParted, it's included in the image or I posted a link to a live USB image of just GParted in the OP.

Thanks very much for the info!!! I come to a workaround yesterday ;P after much much juggling around, I was trying to run dolphin and after dropping a wbfs file onto a FAT32 usb and running it through the dock I came to the conclusion that the later dolphin on ubuntu doesn't support wbfs(weird because lakka seems to.. and its an earlier release i think), I then converted it to ISO and tried EXfat before having my USB stick realising ubuntu doesn't natively support the format ;P, finally coming to the realisation that NFTS stored ISOS were the solution lol. I can confirm dropping items from the usb worked for me :).

I'll look into it, it's a busy weekend for me but I'm gonna try to put out the image with Gzdoom and Reicast at some point, maybe I'll try it for that in addition to the Drive

Small question, is it possible to disable the mouse cursor when I'm not running something like RetroArch? Because when I was running Dolphin, the cursor was flying around while I was here playing a game and it was distracting, to say the least. Just wondering for when I go to try this out when you release the next image.

Yeah I actually added that too, you'll be able to press in the left joystick (L3) to toggle mouse control

NOOBS3 is now up as a torrent link! Keep in mind that the torrent will be slow at first (or may take a while to work while the torrent trackers update). In the meantime I am also uploading to Google Drive and will post that DL link soon.

Also FYI I changed the mouse buttons in addition to making L3 toggle mouse controls.

@nacimem I'll look into it for the next build. I think you need an NVIDIA graphics card on your PC to use it, correct? So I may be unable to test.

Awesome thanks. Any chance you could post your retroarch config here? For some reason it's going super slowly for me. Like 33 fps.

Did you activate 2GHz first? Just double click the "2GHz" desktop icon, put in your password (switch) and then leave that window open before starting retroarch.

Also Google Drive link is up!

They've typically just been called "Joycons" for me. However if they're not showing up, you could just leave mouse controls on as a workaround (the DPAD acts as arrow keys etc.)

On Dolphin they're listed as "Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons" but I can try just "Joycons". With the mouse controls I'm not sure I know how I'd map the axes to the control ini.
