Hacking promo wad?

I found a wad but it has promo in the file name is it any different from a regular wad?

I think those are games that were not really full games but only promotions for other games, such as Doc Louis Punch-Out being a promo for Punch-Out!! Maybe someone else can confirm/deny.

The game in question is grill off with ultra hand. That game wasn't a promotion for anything that I know of.
