Wipes personal information from your Nintendo Switch by removing it from prodinfo.

purpose
a) So your switch can go online without worrying about a ban or using random dogdy DNS servers that are also likely to get you banned.

b) so malicious homebrew applications cannot steal your personal certificate.

disclaimer

This application backs up your prodinfo to the SD root, you should keep this backup in a more secure location, and not leave it on the SD card where malicious applications can read it.

edit: atmosphere blocks writes to CAL0, so you must use ReiNX or SX OS to install this. Once installed, you can switch back to atmosphere.

No, without having a copy of it there's nothing you can do, no other way to get it back, sorry.

They're reversible, for a price and sometimes just happen naturally. Incognito can't undo it's self, so that doesn't work out. lol.

Any error logs/telemetry generated while in aeroplane mode would be sent as soon as you went back online. You still need ways to stop them being generated and/or sent.

cal0 contains the serial number, online certificates for many things (amiibo, game card reader, online, etc) device unique calibration information, etc

How big is it? If its ~2gb it's a part, if its ~29gb it's a full dump

It’s only about 3 1/2 gb, so that means it’s a part of the dump, because I think I made that part of a dump before I did incognito, is there a way to view or extract it’s contents from the part?

To some, its the prospect that they can hold off on being banned until their time comes. After all, bans are permanent but staying offline is temporary. But unless you have a clean NAND backup, then you're merely delaying the inevitable. I mean tools like Incognito are good for people who are super paranoid about being banned but want to use features that require Wi-Fi settings that don't necessarily use Nintendo's Online Services such as FTP, Switch LAN Play, or Xlink Kai. It can be useful for people who have EmuNAND and want to keep it 100% offline. But otherwise you're just banning yourself much like 90DNS, Stealth Mode, or even Airplane Mode.

Please cite a specific quote because I don't recall anyone saying they were "playing online fine". Some scenarios I can imagine is that they were saying they were playing online just fine without Incognito, they restored their prodinfo after using Incognito to play online, or they were using Switch LAN Play/Xlink Kai to play games that support LAN/local wireless "online" (which you can do with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe but only with people who are using the same service).
