Well, even after 1.2, my SD card still not able to boot L4T.
@De4dm4sterBR and everyone else having problems booting to a black screen. I had the same problem, trying everything to fix it, and as soon as I got a better micro sd card all worked perfect and fast. My micro sd card was old and outdated so I just got a basic sandisk 32gb and formatted it to fat32 in windows with a 32 mb cluster size. Here in the picture is the exact micro sd card I got. I know there is much bigger and better ones but this worked for me and I was able to try out most of what L4T Ubuntu on the switch has to offer so far. Working Great!

  • Touch randomly freezes sometimes
I got this bug few times. And I can confirm that it is not TOUCH freeze. I have USB keyboard and mouse connected, mouse remains work, but no clicks work. So it is not related to touch screen driver.

Melee - consistent 60 fps
Twilight - consistent 30 fps (it is capped at 30)
Double dash - consistent 60 fps.

I'm trying tons of games tonight, got any requests?
If you’re still testing, could you try Monkey Ball and see if the floors just come out black?
I’ve had no luck with this series of games, so wasn’t sure if my settings were off.

My download speeds under L4T are extremely slow (using Wifi, no idea about LAN). Like 100-200 kb/s and often stopping downloading stuff altogether. I should get around 4 MB/s and every other Wifi device is working fine

Yup, that's how anybody who's dualbooting is doing it. Backup the switch stuff, flash the image, install the updates to the Fat32, then move and resize the ext4 partition and resize the Fat32 partition. Do this on a different PC

id love a 4 dummies tut of this i think i get what you are saying part im sketchy about is the resize process if it requires linux or windows ok etc

You resize it on the switch itself, I think it's in the original post, search in Ubuntu for data

Can anyone confirm that this doesn't mess with nand in any way?

So, can I pop in a test sd card with l4t ubuntu and boot it without loosing autorcm and without gamecard slot being updated?
I'd like to avoid burining fuses and updating gc.

Think of it as you aren't booting your switch, you're booting a tablet that runs Linux

Fuses/gc slot/nand/autorcm doesn't exist to it

For Dolphin, I wanted to be able to use full-screen mode without seeing the mouse and I wanted the ability to exit full-screen mode without a keyboard.
To accomplish this, go into your dolphin graphics settings and check the hide mouse cursor box.
In order to be able to exit dolphin, I mapped the home button on my gamepad to ESCAPE. To do this, you need to install qjoypad:

(courtesy of @wicksand420)
"
For qjoypad you open the terminal and type

sudo apt-get update -y and hit enter

then this

sudo apt-get install -y qjoypad and hit enter

then to configure it, make sure your joycons are paired, then in the terminal type

qjoypad --notray and hit enter

A controller icon will appear, click on it to configure the controllers"

After you click on the controller icon, press the ADD button on the top, then press quick set on the button, and then map the ESCAPE key to the home button (or whichever button you choose).
Then, you can close the small controller icon.
Afterwards, you can simply launch qjoypad from the apps menu, and then it will run in the background with your new settings. I recommend locking qjoypad to the sidebar for quick access.
Now, when you launch dolphin in full-screen mode, you can press the home button to exit full-screen mode and retain full functionality of using your joycons as a mouse in ubuntu! And every time you reboot, you can just click on the qjoypad button in the sidebar and it will automatically run in the background.

Alternatively, you can obtain the same results without installing additional software by editing the xorg-input-joystick configuration file located in /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d . (You'll need root permission to write the file so open it in the terminal with 'sudo nano' for example). The cool feature is that you can add an option to use a button to disable/enable all mouse and keyboard inputs from the joystick, making it very useful for emulators. I use the left joystick button to toggle inputs and it works perfectly.
