L4T Ubuntu
Intro
L4T Ubuntu is a version of Linux based on nvidia's linux for tegra project. It uses a different kernel compared to previous releases which allows it to use features not yet in mainline. Such as audio, docking support and vulkan.

Yes! I just saw it, it's amazing! I will never understand how the Nintendo Switch has better performance than a Smartphone of Eight Nuclei. I think I could even use my Nintendo Switch to design video games in Unity.
if Unity has an aarch64 linux version you could. But I feel like there probably isnt :/

You’d also need to convince every dev to port all their games to aarch64 ;)
I'd "count" on steam play to work on arm as well, if they were to port steam to arm.
But it is not going to happen anyways.
Ahaa asked me how I would run GTA V in the console, or Metal Gear Solid V

If you mail well, you do not have an excuse to make a Port, so be it downgrade
Who said that you would do that?
I don't play GTA V anymore (it became total trash tbh) and Metal Gear Solid V never caught my attention.
Also, you know jokes, right? ;)

Well, there is little support for aarch64, it hurts. At least the emulators do their job. I hope they can optimize them.

Hey there, amazing work but I have a little problem.
If I try to upgrade or create a new initramfs image it fails with the error:
Code:
WARNING: missing /lib/modules/4.9.109+
Ensure all necessary drivers are built into the linux image!
depmod: ERROR: could not open directory /lib/modules/4.9.109+: No such file or directory
depmod: FATAL: could not search modules: No such file or directory
As you might know it runs on 4.9.109+ but the only mod folder I have is for 4.9.140-tegra...

Anybody an idea?

Seriously have to ask now. When I want it to do anything (just open a browser or folder or close them, show start menu) the whole switch becomes unresponsive for at least 5 seconds up to like half a minute. I can move the cursor no problem, but that's about it. Then when the app finally opens, most of the time it is not responding for a few seconds (it is dark and you can't do anything with it).
When I open the context menu (right click) on desktop it always becomes unresponsive for like 5-20 seconds.
Looking at htop never shows the CPU maxing or even going above 50-60%.
What is wrong? (seriously, I just waited 25 seconds for the terminal to open and about 30 seconds for sudo to ask me for password :()
P.S.: I have the latest update and the overclock overclock.

It is possible that your SD card isnt what yopu expect it to be. It sounds like it might be having a hard time keeping up

A phone with eight nuclei sounds so cool, I wish we called them that in English instead of cores.

That error is fine. The current kernel doesn't use those modules anyways. Everything is baked in.

maybe sdcard is slow?
Class 10 SDHC Kingston (it is not a counterfeit)
Try with 1.2, its VERY likely its fixed

1.2 is OUT, with 2.0ghz most games run at same pace as shield. Tons of controller drivers have been enabled along with usb ethernet drivers.

Ok. Gonna report back once I am done "testing" it.
