As with literally every update, if you care about hacks, best to wait until it's confirmed what has exactly changed.

Likely it's just a fix for DeBlob (but this is unconfirmed yet).

I heard that De Blob (and maybe some other games?) weren’t working on 8.0.0, even unmodified. I wonder if it addresses that.

SciresM has already confirmed that on Discord, Atmosphére and HBL launches fine on 8.0.1. Actually, Atmosphére doesn't touch any of the modules changed in this update.

Hey it’s your life. Although looking at changed files in the update seems it might:

“The following titles were updated: System Version Title, qlaunch, bsdsockets-sysmodule, hid-sysmodule, account-sysmodule, nim-sysmodule, and npns-sysmodule.

Nothing changed with IPC new/removed commands, no NPDM changes, and no changes in any RomFS besides System Version Title.”
