Didn't find many previous threads in forum search on this topic. The only 2 that even came close were:
https://gbatemp.net/posts/7925716/ April 2018 and https://gbatemp.net/threads/poll-favorite-internet-browser.437369/ from 2016 and they only dealt with browsers.
This is a combination question. Really if I knew how to do it, I would have made it a combination poll too.
So what search engine do you use most? Also which web browser do you prefer? It may or may not be your favorite but it's the one you use most often. Also, what options or features do you demand in your search engine and web browser? What makes you come back time after time?
Simplicity? Ease of use? Privacy? Security? Or just what's popular? Or as I'm sure many people do, it's whatever came on their device. (PC, phone, etc.)
I will add my favorite browser and search engine in a future post.

I use DuckDuckGo mostly because Google hides results that are "inappropriate" for them.
They do?
I manage to stumble on porn without even trying.

I don't know that I would exactly say they hide things that are inappropriate but you are right. They DO manipulate their search results. One example is they bury search results. They promote the results they want you to see and bury the ones they do not want you to see.

I tried to use DuckDuckGo for a few months, but I had to switch back to our corporate google overlord because it was just more convenient, like I know google collects all my data, but they give me some accurate search results so who cares?
I don't actually trust that DuckDuckGo is any more trustworthy, just a smaller entity run by the same type of people.

I already use an Android phone most of the time anyway, so it seems kind of pointless to try escaping the beast within it's own environment.

Google is the only correct answer. Bing is bloody awful.

Quoting all of you here for this
Why don't you all try startpage.com
It google results without all the tracking
Or searx.me for multi search engine support
