The BASE games works on 7.0.1, but the UPDATE does not work and causes that issue it requires fw 8.0. Just uninstall the update and you can play on 7.0.1

Cuphead works . the update itself requires 8.0 firmware. I am using SXOS 2.6.1 and FW 7.0.1 And cuphead works fine for me without the update installed. Same as what is posted above me lol. Beat me to it.

Ignore firmware did not work with the update for me. At least using SX installer which automatically ignores FW. Got an error about unable to install a ticket and then trying to launch the game with the update gives the menu asking to connect to the internet

didn't install. using custom xci that has the update in it.

That's exactly what I'm doing. I'm using SX OS emunand 7.0.1 and running the game after creating a custom xci with the upgrade included using NSC_Builder. Running it through an HDD as well as hellblade.
