emuiibo - MitM'ing NFP services for Amiibo emulation

Hi everyone!

I noticed there was a project called switch-nfp-mitm, which had lots of forks, but none of them properly working (people reported it barely worked, and with some games), thus I decided to try to fix it, or to improve it as much as I could. Well, the results were that good, that I've just managed to get it working perfectly, even with a nice system of combos for Amiibo swapping, in just 2 days.

So, well, here's the result:

emuiibo

emuiibo is a virtual amiibo (amiibo emulation) system for Nintendo Switch!

It consists on a background process (and service), which intercepts Nintendo Switch's internal NFC/NFP services to support virtual amiibo emulation, plus an overlay to easily control it.

Have fun playing around with custom virtual amiibos!

Thanks, i am newbie, this is good for me
I'm just generally lazy... I mean effective!
Over all the Kosmos package is tested and I know things work then!

(I believe this will be added in a new version too, atleast I hope so!)

I was SO CLOSE to buying some NFC tags and a burner (which probably would've amounted to a hundred bux) just to get some amiibo emulation going, but now i see this. Thank you so much.

I would like to partially apologize to XorTroll, he fixed the most egregious license violation when he switched from GPLv3 to GPLv2. His code is mostly fine under GPLv2, but I still believe he did not credit all of the original authors. My main issue was GPL'ing non-gpl code, and that is no longer an issue.

Or you could use an nfc enabled phone to write to the tags?

I'm fine with that, I am simply doing what all of the copyright trolls here do :)

Except the basis in which you've founded your complaint is factually mis-represented to which linuxares more than adequately addressed.

You have to actually use *truth* to make a copyright/license claim. Here you just using what we refer to as "casting shade" or "muddying the waters" debate techniques. Essentially you make a lot of noise over complex issues that takes 10 times more energy to unravel than it takes you to argue. Most people just give up because they don't want to waste their energy on your nonsense. There is a actual term in pscyhology for this but i forget it at the moment, some person's law or some such.

This is a common debate tactic used by people all around the world who are dishonest and have bad-faith intentions in the discussion. You yourself just admitted that you were merely arguing 'just to argue' because "thats what other people do" (to you).

Essentially you just admitted to being a bad-faith actor. You had zero good intentions here. You were not trying to look out for the original developer, you just took this moment to sling mud at xortroll, who you have an extensive history of harassing on these forums.

I really wish you would just write code and not bother with social media. You are undoubtably a competent developer who has made decent pieces of software that people enjoy, but you wreck your reputation by being so insanely toxic towards other contributing members. What you don't realize is that your toxicity has far-reaching negative effects upon the ecosystem. It wastes peoples emotional and intellectual bandwidth, psychologically exausting them by creating an environment which constantly exausts those who engage.

Please consider -if not for us, for your own health - to post less here unless its supporting your own software. Getting stomped on by the entire community and moderators for being shitty to other developers must make you feel really poorly? If you really feel no negative emotion from this experience then its pretty clear you are socially dysfunctional, borderline sociopathic. Its difficult for me to believe that this is the case (that you don't feel negative emotions from this), so I instead assume you are just like i used to be - Stuck inside your own head, too emotionally wrapped up in yourself to see things clearly for what they are, constantly self-sabatoging your own happiness with pointless drama. I know that when I engage with toxic people on these forums its emotionally exausting to me, and that im happier without it.

You only constantly make yourself look bad. Everyone wishes you would stop. Even the people who like and support you probably would prefer that you spend more time working on good software instead of engaging in shitty internet fights. To those who think your time spent engaging in shitty internet fights is "worth it" - those are called "children" and you shouldn't get too excited by their support. I've got a real life to attend to now, so I wont be engaging further. Hopefully you take this to heart, but im sure you'll need reminders here and there. Don't worry blawar, we are here for you

Edit - We have made peace. I know you may wish to 'like' this comment, but understand that he does appear to be heading in the correct direction now and we are putting the past in the past. Lets move forward with positive intentions towards community building!
