Hello.

I have a Switch on 3.0.0 firmware, with hbmenu 3.0.1 and Kosmos. When I put in my retail Lets Go Pikachu game the game wants to update my system.

Do we know what version it will update to?
Will hbmenu still work?

Thank you

Don't update it, look up choidujoir and update it that way so you don't burn fuses

Thank you.
Do you know what version the game needs? 5.x?

===== answer below ======

I used 5.1 and it worked. (I had to permanently enable the GS to >= 5.1.0, see post below)
I think 5.0 is the minimum.

The switch is now on 5.1.0, and when inserting a game card it says

"The game card could not be read. Please remove and reinsert it"
I am booting in stock.

Any idea how to fix this? Is the game card slot being blocked by the CFW?

=====answer below=====

If you're booting Atmosphere via kips+secmon in hekate:
Open bootloader/hekate_ipl.ini, and then remove the line
"kip1patch=nogc" from your Atmosphere boot option.

(what I did below)
If you're booting Atmosphere with Fusee:
Open atmosphere/BCT.ini, and then under "[stratosphere]"
add the line "nogc = 0" to force disable nogc.

Please keep in mind that doing so irreversibly updates your cartridge-reader firmware, making it no longer read cartridges on firms below 5.1.0 (maybe ??4.0.0).

Thank you everyone.
