USB support For Retroarch and pplay would be awesome!

And AMS Emunand for online play.

Better OTG support overall I think would be a better blanket statement. A module, or something that allows HID or xinput devices via USB or OTG would just be amazing! Same with USB drive support (exFAT, FAT32, and NTFS would be nice.)

Relax Drax, let people have their wish list. Whether anything on these lists is currently possible, possible in the future or never possible. Sometimes it's fun to day dream. Just imagine that group of kindergarten children on the playground, all excited because they believe in Santa Claus and they are all telling each other what their wish is and then suddenly the school bully comes and breaks up their fantasy and tells them there's no such thing as Santa.
Besides, what is currently not feasible at this time and even looks impossible at any point in the future, many times becomes reality. For example, in today's world, many of the inventions we have were previously thought impossible. Many of our coolest technologies only became reality because people dared to wish, because people dared to fantasize. When Yesterday's authors and screen writers wrote the books, movies and TV programs that sprang from ideas in their dreams and imaginations, they didn't dare hope they would ever become reality. Then fast forward to 2019 and many of the things once thought science fiction are now reality.
While I do appreciate the need to better educate people, it still doesn't hurt to let them dream.

On the Santa side of things, I'm wishing for a coldboot method or perma CFW.
On the more down to earth side, just USB support (exfat, fat32, ntsc) non sxos emunand and completely eliminate all telemetry. (Which I think is already implemented)

I have seen multiple people purposely hold off on buying a Switch, return/sell a console, or just make yearly posts on when untethered coldboot is available. If you want to wait, sure it may only take 5 to 10 years but the current exploit we have is arguably better than an untethered coldboot exploit as this one bypasses the fuse check. It will be even funnier if the holy grail is only available for first generation consoles because, if the rumors are true, then the new consoles that Nintendo are planning on releasing will be even more secure and thus harder to crack.

Regarding any hypothetical coldboot, wouldn't it be super cool if it was coded in such a way as to include fuse bypass? I mean, as long as we're having cake, may as well have the icing too.

If an untethered colboot hack was a bootrom exploit you could, but at that point it wouldn’t matter what firmware you’re on. But if one was an exploit in Horizon that would not be possible

Yes you are right. It would not work in horizon.

I know, my wish is very unrealistic, but I wish ......

You can actually already do that by modifying the title ID in the loader.ini for Atmosphere or hbl-config.ini for ReiNX to that of another applet like News.

News wouldn’t work, it’s part of qlaunch ;)

Edit: the eshop and user page would probably work though

I want my Switch to make me eggs in the morning... Tired of waiting for my wife to wake up at 7. I get up at 5am

That's with any console nowadays. I think I heard that it was just recently that the Slim PS3's can use CFW just as easily as OG PS3s. Either way, just because Nintendo thinks they defeated hackers one day doesn't mean someone won't break through on another piece of their hardware. If anything, it seems like Nintendo is always getting their systems hacked in some way, emulated at a much higher rate than that of Sony's (*J Jonah Laugh at Microsoft console emulation at this point in time*), and they almost are always behind on something when it comes to their systems, their services, and always end up giving up one thing for "innovation" in another.
