Hacking Question Transferring Save Data From "Banned?" Switch to New Switch?

Would doing a system transfer from ban my new switch even if i currently don't have an account ban?
And also, I'm only banned from Splatoon for some reason (i never hacked the game or messed with save data)

its just a console ban towards that game. Its best to start fresh on splatoon on your new console if you really dont know what got you banned. If you didn't save edit then you probably taunted someone ingame

Subscribe to Nintendo and use their cloud service if you plan to not hack your other switch. Otherwise just use checkpoint

Ok thanks! I already have a subscription so im good. I'm ok with just starting over splatoon since its not available for cloud back up.

Interesting...Switch 8.0 support save data transfer. And it seems to work with Splatoon. I'll probably do this instead.

This is exactly what I am planning to do, I am just waiting for Nintendo to finaly reveal the new hardware revision.
Well, E3 is not that far away, hopefully they announce something there.

With over 60 bought games from the eShop I don't want to tinker with my Switch until I get a second one...

Hey sorry this is super late but I was wondering if when you transferred your old data from the banned switch to the new switch if you got rebanned on splatoon 2 when playing on the new switch

I haven't gotten a new switch yet but to answer ur question it's unlikely that you'll get banned for doing so.
At least in my case, because I got banned from only Splatoon 2 and nothing else and I never hacked the game or tampered with save data. So when I transfer and don't even mess with Recovery Mode until then I'm 90% I'll be ban free. But don't be fooled, keep in mind Nintendo knows full well when a Switch is hacked so there's always that chance.

whats the exact error? i can check the list in the SDK to see if it was based on reports or NEX

I'm 99% sure it wasn't a report, it was due to me booting into CFW while not on Airplane mode. Nintendo very much as the info to console ban me but I got lucky with just a Splatoon ban.

Anyone test this? I have a hacked banned switch with a zelda save I want off of it, was wondering if I could use the save transfer feature from the banned switch that can access eshop etc, to the non banned non modded switch without getting it banned?

booting into cfw does not ban you (its a very common rumor i can't stand lol) i restored my splat save on diff consoles with cfw online, SAVE ID = Server sided checks for modifications of certain variables like money etcetct anyway that asides lol ... Yeah application ID banned on NEX on http://bmas.mng.nintendo.net (4607 came up as a -9999 since that error is only for splat of course)

So how did I get banned exactly? That had to be the reason bc I didn't absolutely NOTHING else to my switch besides booting into CFW online.

so i got the exact same error and i did do the modifications. If i delete my save data and transfer the game to my new switch(since its downloaded) will i run the risk of being banned because its the same account/how large is that risk?

If the risk of getting banned is large. Could I just transfer the user data onto my new switch, get splatoon, never open splatoon with my old account but instead make a new user, connect it to a new account, and play splatoon on that account, without running the risk of getting banned? Or is it best to just get a new cartridge with a new account overall

4607 correlates to in game reports via splatnet 2 and/or splat 2 romfs modification since its hash checked. thats how heh

Then wouldn't the ban be lifted my now? It's been it's been like 2 months.
I just want to know what I did exactly to receive a ban. I don't squid bag or violate any of the rules. And like I stated previously, nothing was modified in my Splatoon 2 game in any way.

To add, I even called Nintendo and they say they can not lift the ban. As they detected something "unusual" about my Switch. (I'm guessing that's code name for ur switch is hacked) and the only way they would know is bc of me booting into CFW while still online so logs were sent from my console to Nintendo. Why just a Splatoon b2 ban? I still don't know.
