Hi all, I've been asked by my room mate to hack his ps3 for him. It's an 80 gig full phat version.

I've ran the 4.84 HFW installer, then installed Han.

I have a slight problem though, I'm not really sure where to go from here.

Is there a version of Multiman that is compatible with this FW?

He's wanting to run psx,ps2 and ps3 games, and not technically inclined, so I'm wanting to know what is the easiest way I can set this guy up for when we split from one another in a few weeks time after he moves out.

I ask because I'm not much into the ps3 hacking scene, very rarely actually, and it seems I just can't get a straight answer anywhere after looking around for a few hours.

Thanks in advanced for any replies.

you said an 80 fat? you can run the nand flaher (nors are slim versions and install something like rebug cfw han is only useful for late slims/super slims
wait, so this can get a full fledged cfw?

I't's a CECHK03, i thought those couldn't get full fat cfw's because those have NOR flashs?

If so, do you have a guide for everything I need to download/do? I'm totally dumb with ps3 hacking stuff.

The only type that certainly can't have CFW are MMC. All NAND can and some NOR.

It depends on the "downgradeable Min. praxis" column.

If it's red then you can't have CFW, if it's amber then definitely should check with the PUP linked here https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/Talk:...e_upgrade_to_get_lowest_firmware_version_info (you can check anyway).

Well, that Retail Models link you supplied said it can go down to 2.16 or 2.30 which is nice.. I supple I'll try follow the guide above as it seems easy enough.

Thanks folks, hopefully everything goes smoothly now :)

Hmmm, I downloaded the latest Rebug full version, 4.84.1, and the MD5 doesn't match. downloaded it a few times and it's never matched as to what the txt file states it should be.

Also, do I need to downgrade to 3.55 to install CFW, or can I just jump from OFW to CEX?

Edit: If someone has the Rebug 4.84.1 update pup file, with MD5 of 8b68282425665fd4453b8ae14839d876 and could upload it for me, that would be amazing, as they're actual site is giving one with the wrong md5, and after checking other downloads they have, it should match.

I've been downloading REBUG 4.84.1 REX EDITION

Edit: 2 Or should I say screw it and jump to Starbugged, though Rebug is the one most people suggest to use.
