SX OS 2.6 Beta released: full support for Nintendo Switch firmware 7.x

From Team Xecuter:

This new 2.6 BETA of SX OS adds full support for Nintendo Switch firmware 7.x, including ALL functionality you expect when using our product. We've been pioneering our own unique and proprietary solution for defeating any future firmware protection and we're quite happy with the results so far.

This release is marked as BETA because we changed things drastically under the hood to streamline future firmware updates and some things may inadvertently behave differently.

That does not mean it hasn't been vetted at all, so give it a shot today!

Of course, we haven't been sitting idly behind the scenes either. A lot of our development resources and attention has been dedicated to bringing SX OS to those "unhackable" switches. We are working hard to bring the SX OS experience to all of you who are stuck with an "unhackable" switch. Stay tuned for more news!

Did they find an exploit or a way to remove sept logo ?

there is a period of time booting where the screen is off between sxos logo and nintendo logos that matches the sept splash time. reboot to payload works which requires exosphere, as does sept. I'll let you think what you will, these are my observations though

Backed up my saves, made a system format, updated to 7.0.1, loaded 40 xcis from sd, downloaded 16Gb of updates to sys nand, restored 10 games saves and am doing a full nand backup right now.

No bugs encountered, looking good so far.

Ready for the next wave of games, hope tx keeps up the good work. :D

You need keys to remove Sept logo. So either they found an exploit or someone leak them the keys.

Because the alternative that they finally have a developer/team who managed to work it out themselves is beyond comprehension.

Personally I think they only have one dev - and that dev has changed a number of times.. I also think their previous dev left and that contributed to the delay between releases / 7.x support. But hey that's just a conspiracy theory.

The '''hand over'' to the new dev was non existent and the new dev needs to work out what the hell the previous dev was doing because hardly any fricking coders ever comment their code properly. Not that I've encountered such premises a few dozen times myself, no.. not at all (COMMENT YOUR CODE PEOPLE!!).

if your code is easily readable and with proper indentation you dont need comments.

I've worked in 4 different commercial software development companies and that wasn't the case for smaller groups. The coders were all quite possessive of their code and utilised that to hold onto their jobs.

Those comments are all on ams github ;)

Yesterday, I went to the church to pray. The sun outside went slowly down, and at one point, it was shining through a small gap in the wall, casting a shadow on the altar. The form of that shadow was so familiar, that I had to squeeze my eyes and take that thing on a closer inspection. No doubts, it was a TX logo, right there, in front of me, on the altar. That can't be a coincidence I told to myself, and went home with a great peace of mind. I opened a browser and went to this site, where I was welcomed by the warm and heart-filling news, that there is a new SX OS update. What a great day to be alive! Let's worhip our TX Gods and thank them for all the greatness the cast upon us.

I'm gonna give that update a try right after work. Are there meanwhile any games out there, that require a 7.x update?

Hi, may I ask you, what tool you have used to backup your saves?
Deebuzz

If they didn't hardcode the keys, wouldn't SXOS using SEPT be something that is good for us? Otherwise they would burn an exploit afaik.
So even if they did steal it, it still would be better than them not using it

Why do people care that much? Other cfw users said SX is impossible to support the latest firmware then now recommend SX to steal the sept and then insult them because of atm slash screen. Now with the idea of to burn an exploit..
