Is it even safe following the CLEAN UP SYSNAND section where it mentions about deleting ticketblob folders?
Is that a safe step but wouldn't nintendo detect it.
Well i know we are restoring the NAND but is this even safe to delete those folders?
And what is UNLINKING THE NANDS?
What does this mean.
I do not want to go through the hassle of using 2 SD cards just only 1.
And is updating the firmware of Sysnand optional?

So I have a folder but it is stated as 80000000000000d1
with a small d. Is it that or is it a different folder?
I have a new switch which has cfw in it but it has never had any NSP's installed on it.
I also restored it to original firmware and deleted these files. Am I Safe as well by doing this (reducing my ban risk to a minimum)?

So when you want to play legit games online do you just boot into OFW without RCM or you need to go to sysnand and boot.

What I do is:
If want to use SysNAND (playing games online) just boot without RCM or anything like that, pure stock.
If want to use EmuNAND (homebrew/piracy) boot into RCM, send SXOS payload through and go to emunand.

I have heard using Hekate to boot "stock" is safe for going into sysnand, but even so I dont like to go through any of that stuff, try to stay as clean as possible.

I'm sorry if this has been answered before, but for this method (online Sysnand/offline Emunand) to work, AutoRCM has to be disabled?

Thanks in advance

When you upgrade your sysnand, do you keep autorcm on? So the fuses won't burn?
Or do you need to have autorcm off, and have the fuses burn.

my switch was on firmware 6.2 clean, I the followed this guide
Backup/Restore your Nand + Get your biskeys+tseckeys+keys.txt Guide
to backup my nand. Afterwards, I booted in sx os, and created an emunand.

Did following that guide leave any traces of homebrew on my sysnand?

Can I just update my sysnand to 7.01 so I can play online?

Or do I need to reformat my sysnand to 6.2 to make it clean, and then upgrade that to 7.01?

After wards, I can still use my SD card and boot into emunand 6.2 correct?

If you want to play online (which requires using sysNAND in OFW to be safe) you need to boot normally and update without burning fuses (which means without using ChoidojourNX). Do not update without burning fuses and go online.

There are multiple ways to boot into sysNAND through RMC mode (such as SX OX's option) that are likely safe.. But I'd read around a little bit on that.

From what I have read and understood from other users experiences, using AutoRCM to switch from OFW/Emunand has not got anyone banned so far. It comes down to how paranoid you are ;), and if you believe Nintendo might take action in the future, still that is the case with most of this entire thread. If you are switching between online and offline every day, seems like a worthy investment to protect your joycon rails and save having to carry a jig around everywhere you go.

Is this tutorial still relevant? I'm getting a Switch in a month or two so i'm looking for all useful information I can get to be prepared for everything. I plan to get SX OS Pro and use it for backups on Emu NAND and OFW when I feel like playing legit games online.

+1

Already using sx os on my sysnand with 7.0.1.
Installed some nsp and xcis.
Using stealth mode all the time and a dns blocker.
Never been online again after using some xcis.

My plan is to copy sysnand to emunand and stay offline in emunand. Than using sysnand for online play.

Is this guide also usable for my plan/setup (fw 7.0.1)?

How can I check if I am already banned - > if so I can just use my hacked sysnand.

Thx

I have cfw atmosphere on 8.0.1, and I’d like to install emunand. I have a clean nand back up on 3.0.0, and always used autorcm: efuses aren’t burnt. I’d like to restore the clean nand, Should I restore it before or after creating the emunand?

It's really that simple to update the emuNAND? Just use ChoiDujourNX from within it?
No side effects?

So I set up my emunand with the hidden partition option. Can I access this partition on my pc somehow, or only on my switch / with ftp?
Also do I put folders like sxos and switch still inside the sd root? doesnt that make the hidden partition kinda useless?

The hidden partition is like your internal memory which you better don't touch anyway!
And yes, you still put everything on the SD root.
Only difference is that both are using different Nintendo folders to store installed games and made screenshots in.
For example SX OS uses the folder Emutendo. With Atmo's emuMMC you can set the folder manually in the sd:\emuMMC\emummc.ini

It's still relevant, however the linked tools are outdated. New versions can be found here: https://switchtools.sshnuke.net/
Someone made a video guide of this, I got it done myself following it:

Just don't trust that "100% clean" claim, because well.. we know the only way to actually be clean is by restoring to a nand backup you made before doing any CFW work.

I think those links are good to share here, if not, any mod can let me know to take them out.
