Incognito

incognito
Wipes personal information from your Nintendo Switch by removing it from prodinfo.

purpose
a) So your switch can go online without worrying about a ban or using random dogdy DNS servers that are also likely to get you banned.

b) so malicious homebrew applications cannot steal your personal certificate.

disclaimer
Always have a nand backup. I am not responsible for any bricks or bans. Use at your own risk, experimental.

This application backs up your prodinfo to the SD root, you should keep this backup in a more secure location, and not leave it on the SD card where malicious applications can read it.

edit: atmosphere blocks writes to CAL0, so you must use ReiNX or SX OS to install this. Once installed, you can switch back to atmosphere.

Well, I was thinking If you could copy over certs and spoof MAC and so on then maybe the switch would look just like the other one when online.
And then you use this tool not to get banned again :)
Already tried that, but with a donated cert and the Switch got problem to boot up. Heck even with the same keys it came from still had issues. Must be an chip that blocks inside making it harder for the Switch to boot.

Maybe i'm wrong but.. my switch says it has restricted internet accces when i go to the store (i'm banned) but the new feeds never stop working for me i get the news ,can open it too like normal. news working for me just fine without incognito tool and witch banned.

Yeah, the news works just fine on a banned switch.

But I meant when using a DNS, those block Nintendos servers indiscriminately.

I have two questions regarding this app.
Will this clean up any logs from installing NSPs into your switch for safe online use and do you need to delete said NSPs from your switch in order to safely use this?

Also, about that part on installing this on ReiNX before you can get back on AtmosphereNX... Correct me if Im mistaken but wouldn't you need to be on Horizon to get online and wouldnt that burn your fuses?

Im kinda late and any feedback is appreciated!

It doesn’t clean anything. If you are using sysNand for piracy and don't have a clean backup from before you ran homebrew/warez on sysNand, your system is effectively too tainted to Incognito effectively.

No, connecting to Nintendo Online does not necessarily mean burning fuses. And burning fuses doesn’t really matter outside of cold boot exploit hopes and dreams.

So, I have heard of a certain Brazilian someone who figured out a few extra steps and is now selling working console unbans (probably using single cert across them, which will get nuked in no time).

I'm curious though, as I have an extra cert to burn and I was considering getting another Switch just for Mario Maker.

Has anyone else come across any discoveries regarding unbans?

okay so lets say that I do have a clean backup, can this app be used for both ofw and cfw for online play?

I don't think it's him. I mean I know who the guy is by name and he is legit, but idk if he's mastertxxx (or who mastertxxx even is for that matter).

I was told good things about him and I'm not worried about him using repeat certs anymore, but I'm afraid instant rebans might happen with his method. I'll wait and see, and depending on how it goes I might give it a shot. He's not far from my area anyways.

This was bound to happen. Yes, if the person in question is capable of creating fairly trivial patches (which Atmosphere will do the hard work of applying for you, thanks to the ((pretty great)) patch engine) you can sell unbans. I don't know if Nintendo is checking for cert reuse, but one would think that they easily could start doing so.

One question:
If I make a complete factory reset by choosing the initialize option in the system settings, are all logs gone then as well?

I don't think Nintendo would ban me for initializing and then re-using my (then absolute clean) console to go online if I wasn't banned already.
This way I could make a complete NAND backup (obviously), then create an emuNAND of it and then initialize the console to go online with the sysNAND.

So it kinda ''bricks'' your switch

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
