Sorry in advance for the venting and thanks in advance for your understanding.

I appreciate your suggestion and I have considered throwing some "bumps" out there. I suppose this thread doesn't count towards them? Guess I could randomly jump into some random threads and....say something? "Hey sorry for the intrusion but I need some posts lol". I wish I had time to actively comb through this site and find the particular threads that I need to be in.

I am not even trying to be sarcastic, please don't misunderstand my intent. I appreciate your being the only other person to actively comment so far. Then again, I knew that was likely because of the section that this is after all. At least I can't get locked again here, I think. This all STARTED in the 3DS hardware forum as my very first post, and was locked that same day because I seemed shady or something like that.

It's all in my title post.

I'm just feeling a bit annoyed with all the hoops every single site/company/etc has lately and am fully tired of jumping through them. Want my birth certificate? Cool they just shouldnt make me post 100 random needless posts. Or count the ones I am posting here, on an open forum...

Here were my problems today because I need to vent very badly, even if no one cares.

-Paypal is giving me a massive headache dealing with their shipping department over a failure to provide me with a confirmation number I can use to print from the self service kiosk. All todays shipments are delayed till tomorrow because of it, gggrrrrrrr most of my annoyance today is from this. I just got my seller rank to "above standard" too!

-My bank made a "one-day-turnover deposit" from paypal into three days wait because of "security reasons". So tired of banks taking money in an instant when they demand it, but holding mine for days on end for little to no reason!

-Work was a massive headache as I am getting tired of driving all day long and then having barely enough time to deal with life. I still haven't even done my card copying and I am out of time! So frustrated and feeling like I am letting people down if I don't get the .CIA files soon. How do I work ten hours but only get to be home for ten? Oh yeah, Bay Area traffic.


Pretty much, yes. I have no time. This is what I have time for, a quick dump and whoever sees it, sees it. They will surely be lucky if they snag that Snake Box, regardless of the partner box. After that, I don't have much else to offer. Maybe I will go create a post in the Wii hardware section to get help for my WiiU dev units and Cat-Devs. That should make some posts at the very least.

Well when I first posted it was mostly understandable. It was in the 3DS hardware section, I was a rider in the truck at work and I decided to finally make a post. But as much as I tried to keep my reasons for being here up front and my ebay ad a minor point of the post, it may have sounded like an advertisment. Also I had no pictures in the post as I had taken none at that point.

By the time I got home and logged in on a real computer, it was locked and the mod basically said "careful about this guy". Again, knowing the world as it is today, that is understandable. I just wish all of this could have taken place in that thread. I'd have post count and probably more responses.

Alright, two separate 16GB HC SD cards. One blank in FAT32, in the 3DScard. ACE switched to 3DS mode.

Found sleep spot.

Turned off 3DS.

Held X +Select +Start +Power until the screens came on, just like in the video. Also tried shorter and longer presses. Nada. Just sleep mode, and a home menu when the magnet is removed.



Also sorry about the wait. My bluetooth transfer for photos must be the slowest thing on earth.

I didn't follow previous messages, so I don't know what you did or were allowed to.
you have "0 message" and therefore can't do some action like posting pictures, links (prevent spam), or create a private conversation (spam again).
posting 10 messages is not that hard if you are pssionate and a video game fan, there are lot of subject you can participate in.

100 post restriction to the selling section is not used to verify your identity, (having your papers doesn't prevent scam), but to only let people with a minimum background and activity on the forum for these reasons :
- let people know you a little, to see if they can trust you. prevent scam a little by knowing the user and having talk to him/her before in other topics
- this is a community sharing place, not a selling shop. if you want to sell goods without participating in a community there are lot of shops for that, up to ebay.


If you got the authorization to create a thread in the trading section with less than 100 post (even 0?) and your privilege has been lifted, you should contact the staff member who gave you that privilege in the first place. other staff don't know what happen privately with you and someone else.
If a staff removed your privilege, I also don't know the reason behind that decision, and I can't just give it back without knowing why it was removed.

Oh no, never had the access to the seller forum. I personally do not mind in the least, this thread is serving my purposes perfectly.

As I said before, it was a misunderstanding, and I feel it was perfectly valid. I had posted early in my workday and thus did not post pictures with my original thread. A mod saw it, probably thought I was a scammer trying to steal through paypal or something. I am sure if I knew to reply sooner, it might have remained open.

Eventually, once my life settles, I will most definitely have a wider look around these forums. I guess I was never really much of a Nintendo fan and honestly before all this only ever had an Advance with Pokemon Fire Red. I kind of feel out of place here, but hey then again as H1B1 Esquire has kindly suggested, there are casual threads I should take part in eventually, if for nothing else than to raise my account status.


I am sorry to have bothered you Cyan, but I appreciate your response and time spent looking into my situation. Also thank you for allowing it to continue.

I know excuses are lame but I am super busy with my recent promotion to Driver, my sister literally JUST had her baby last night, and this shipping stuff takes way more time than it should. LOL It might seem like I am complaining, but only in the sense that I wish I could do more for all the people who are helping me in their own ways. If I had more time, I might have all my dev cartridges dumped. But oh well, perhaps a new workaround I've been suggested to use will work.

I am now off to spend some time trying that via conversation. Thanks all, will post again soon.

Hey all, I'm back and going to try some more ways to get my unit jailbroken. Believe it or not, it refused extensive attempts with both the browser based AND with the AceX cartridge-based hacks. Our next step is to try an extremely outdated firmware.

I got very distracted this weekend. Apologies to my friend who has been helping me through this. I am sure it is equally frustrating/confusing to him that my unit refuses to jailbreak. :/

As for selling, the Snake-Box/Partner-ctr combo auction is going smoothly.

After those boxes sell, all that are left are:
-Two N3DSXL and one Old 3DS (currently up for Buy It Now)
-one more identical snake box+controller I will auction (no Partner though I only had one of those)
-The protoype thing, a small round plastic device that has an IR on one side. It takes two double A batteries and is marked as "CTR-012".
-two more Old 3DS units, but I haven't figured out how to unbrick them just yet.
-three 'normal' WiiU dev consoles, two 'Cat-Dev' WiiU consoles, and all the gamepads to make one for each of them.


Thanks to everyone who has shown interest. And thanks to the Mods above for allowing this unorthodox thread to continue.

Your first post mention "I was told I could ask a mod to allow me into the seller forum." I thought that's what you did. but now I suppose you didn't really asked and just placed that message in hope a moderator see it?

selling outside the trading forum is not allowed if you have less than 100 posts and you need to request a privileged access to that section to a supervisor. I don't have user preference rights.

linking to your ebay is not a problem if you put the link in your signature. the signature is fine to contain links to other websites, as long as it's not illegal rom/iso sharing.

That's a nice collection you have there, and valuable too.
What I would suggest is that you report your OP and ask for the thread to be moved to the correct section. "3DS - Console, Accessories and Hardware" seems much more appropriate for this thread and that way your post count would increase as well.

The Partner-CTR system and controller. Uses two marked cables rather than a single one as the snake boxes do.

From what I've gathered this one is more for just displaying the game screen or maybe both screens onto an output monitor or multiple monitors.

An older gbatemp post I semi recall said they were for demonstrations at events.
