Hardware Is my new ds4 fake?

Bought it from target. It was $64. Everything works great, the joysticks return to their place, the buttons don’t stick out, the joystick tips are soft, but since I don’t have a ps4 I need to charge it with an iPhone ac adapter. It has an output of 5V and 1A. But when I connect it it doesn’t light up. Also I cannot use programs like ds4 windows or input mapper to connect it to the pc. The box came with the controller and a manual but no usb cable.

If you bought it from Target then how could it be fake. It could be fake if you bought it from Amazon or Ebay, then it's obviously. However, Target ? It shouldn't.

No, you cannot use your iPhone adapter to charge it with. I did and it won't work. You have to have PS4 or PS4 charger from Target to make it work, period. No iPhone or any smartphone adapter to charge it with. No, it wont work. I did that before.

Controller looks real, you can try the bluetooth of your PC see if you can get it to pair, you can also try with a micro usb cable if you got one.

Configure the button setting within DS4 I guess, Im not sure if it work with every games out there.

ok when i press the ps button again it stays steady white for one second and then turns off. what am i doing wrong?

Probably because it either not paired correctly, or it low on battery. I would suggest getting a cable to charge it first.

If you have a micro usb cable plug it into your PC. PC should be able to charge it.

No idea, Im don't use DS4.

You can pair it with ur smartphone then try STEMAMLINK! i played RE2make on my Huawei mate10 PRO and it was GREAT! almost input lag free

I tried to charge with my huawei usb adapter and i works, i think apple's the real 4head to prevent people to charge their DS4!

u didn't get the point, any phones can do that, it's just a streaming service, the game still runs on ur local pc.

alright, when u have phone reqpaired, try to connect ds4 ur phone and STEAM links should recognize it as ps4 controller, otherwise ur DS4 is fake.

It should be a staying on yellow light if it is charging.

and when ur phone is repaired don't forget to a silicon shell and glass screen saver from ur local chinese store lul!
