That's all of them completed except for "great wave".

If you want the shells, you can get them from amazon. These new ones are hydro-dipped and have a softer feel to them than the myriann ones. Also there is really no need to file down/shave down anything on these as everything seems to fit *perfectly* with these.

Man I want an SNES one... but I am scared to tear my nice Switch apart.

The backplate is simple, no reason to be scared on that one. Just make sure not to strip the 2 bottom and 1 top screw (tiny, go into plastic, easy to strip).

Joycons definitely take some patience and time, far from impossible, but can be scary for someone who has never done any electronic repair/shell swaps before.

Agree.
Ditch the awful buttons for the left joycon and replace it with a proper WiiU Gamepad or Pro controller one, and this is a must buy.

I don't think they make as many of these as myriann does with the clear versions. Unless enough people buy/request a dpad version is made, it probably won't happen.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

updated with 10/13 styles available (missing Solid Red (didn't purchase), Great Wave (upside down), & Monsters/Demons (upside down)).

If only this was available as EUR SNES / JP SFC... I know there's something in that style as stickers, but you'll never get that off again cleanly

Got them all completed except for the "great wave" shells.

The metallic red is beautiful, pictures don't really do it justice.

Yeah I bought and installed the wood grain one to match my ps4 controller dipped with the same pattern. Plastic is pretty cheap feeling on the back side, however, the side with the soft touch feels great. Also used the real switch kickstand as the dipped one feels pretty bad. Made a nice contrast though.

The wood grain is my second favorite after the metallic red.

Those look good, but what I really want is some game themed ones such as Zelda or Pokemon. The limited edition systems so far have just been alternate JoyCon colors and custom docks, but still the same black Switch. If Nintendo won't do it then someone else should.

There are a bunch of people on Etsy who will do custom shells for you. Just make sure you get someone who does more than spray paint/paint it. Just a basic coat of paint will flake off.

Neat, I did look into getting custom n3DS faceplates from Etsy, but it was a bit pricy and I didn't have any good ideas about what design I wanted. Also you never know how long the paint is going to last.
Doing a shell swap on the Switch seems tricky though. The battery is glued to the front and the digitizer is glued to the screen and to the shell itself, and all of that has to come off. But my screen has a speck of dust trapped in it that has been there since day 1 and the case is very slightly bent and by getting a custom shell I could solve both those issues. Was considering sending it in for repair under warranty but when the iPatched Switches started appearing I changed my mind.
Might try my hand at doing a shell swap sometime, but it feels risky disassembling an expensive console, especially one with as many fragile ribbon cables and connectors as this.
