Hacked my wii forever ago, wanted to hack it again, but i completely forgot everything and i lost my old SD card so i used a new one that had my dsi hacks on it.

I downloaded the hackmii installer, on system menu 4.0, i booted it up and was downloading homebrew channel again and it was a success, i then tried to exit and i got this error:

Flushing log file...
Unable to mount file system, could not flush log to SD

I too am getting the same thing. I have tried with a Kingstion micro 4gb sd , Scandisk 2.0gb, Scandisk 1.0gb, and a Lexar Micro 1.0gb SD.. and for some fun a generic 2.0gb sd. All formatted as FAT then again as FAT32. All done twice once on an XP and the other on a vista machine.

I don't know what else to try, HBC starts loads to a black screen and then freezes.

Hi im from Argentina, so forgive my spelling

I was having the same problems as you and my solution was:

Using LG MicroSD 1gb
LG micro sd adapter.

and its works perfectly.

My previusly combination (the one that pumped me that famous error) was:

Kingstone 8gb and kingstone SD adapter,

hey so i have a solution
i had the same issue with this random 4gig card
picked up a random 8 gig card, then booted into Gparted with a live USB stick,
formatted the SD card to have a primary partition of 2000mb (smaller than 2 gig) and a put a 1mb gap then placed the extension partition.
rebooted then copied the letter bomb stuff to newly formatted SD
put it in the WII, uninstalled homebrew channel then reinstalled it
everything going smooth.
hope this helps and was worth creating the account

Friend, not sure if you were aware, but this thread is from nearly 10 years ago. It's unlikely that any of these people even use GBAtemp anymore, and if they do, they likely don't remember this thread.

Well. I just got here and it helped me. *shrug*

Thanks for being future-minded, milesxsterling!

Geez - 10+ year old thread, but still noticed.
So many newer methods & answers, even from the old school era. All it takes is some reading to see what's newer & better.
Eg : Try ModMii. You won't be sorry.

Go GBAtemp !!!! :)
