So I have SXOS and I downloaded smash and all it's updates as nsp (I bought the game but was banned). Now whenever I launch the game it shows a back screen after the “press any button” screen.... what should I do?

Crash in Smash?

All seriousness though, you might have just gotten a bad NSP/update as far as I can tell

Hmmm okay what should I do?
I'd recommend just reinstalling the NSP files first, but if that doesn't work then you should compare the MD5 hashes just to make sure you got the legitimate ones. If none of that works, then you might just have to download it from another source.

Not sure how your installing it, but its been reported to work more reliably if you install the file from the SD card, and not VIA USB/Network. Same for the new Mario Bros game.

Get an untouched xci. Aka a raw cartridge dump is the safest way to go. It's what I did after I got sd card corruption from the nsp, let alone the rumors of the nsp bricker that went around. XCI's, on the other hand, don't 'install' anything which is an advantage in cases like this.
